New Dalvin Cook highlights

Lane or Cook if you had to pick one.

Lane.

Elite WRs that change the game aren't as available as star RBs. Sure, Cook may be next level, but it's not like he'd be likely to start in his Frosh year or anything. And, he just so happens to play a position where there's a freakish amount of elite talent available to Miami.

The Cook hype is warranted, but I sense he's about to start getting into William Wallace territory. Anyone ever see Dalvin fire lightning bolts from his eyes?

He looks much quicker than he looks fast. The 11+ second 100m makes sense. He looks to have elite stride frequency, but he's a short strider. I would guess he runs the 40 a lot better than he does any track distance. That's what you want in a rb.

Gimme a high 5

I'm a sucker for looking at guys stride frequency. Can't cut without your feet on the ground.

I agree. Not saying he is not fast. Because he has elite speed. You can't construe it any other way. With training and development he is no doubt a sub 11 100 meter runner. But, he may never be a track star that goes sub 10.5 or anything like that.

I agree that his 40 is probably more impressive and elite relative to the pack than his 100 meter. Because the thing that makes him so special is his burst. He doesn't build up to top speed (see Mike James), he comes out of his stance and he is going at near full speed. So when the ball snaps, he is already moving faster than some people may be thinking

I'm just so glad that we got Deandre Burnett signed to join the Miami Basketball team next year.

A.) He is Dalvin Cook's brother
B.) He is a freaking stud

I really like the Hester comparison. He has that ridiculous ability to accelerate in and out of his cuts

i was looking for a comparison and finally got it.

Ya he's very Hester like with the explosion out of cuts and vision. Only thing Hester was a bit "Leaner"(Cook is rocked up, muscle) so he had more wiggle and shakes.

On defense he plays it just like Hester did, always ball hawking.

Kid cant leave the 305...no way......we better let Mark Higgs(miami dolphins), Telly Lockette and the others coaching at Central that sh*t is unacceptable.

Kid is unreal....the scary part is the first 5 minutes of film, those teams hes playing can ALL be state champions in other states..the best of the best..dude's opening film consist of Gainesville High(they had a good team with some nice defensive prospects), Booker T(lol @ what he did to Matt Thomas) Northwestern, Naples. Those are all teams that can win state championhips in football states.(Ohio,VA,GA,tx,ca)

WOW!!! Dude's highlights are better then the homie's from Boys in the Hood

No one's highlights have ever been as good as Ricky Baker's highlights. He was Duke Johnson with Fred Taylor size.

Pssh. If Ricky had Dukes cutback ability he would still be alive.

Negged.

I gotz to do it!

SOMEBODY PLEASE TELL ME Tommy Streeter wasnt the one that blasted Ricky

best Dade RB since Gore?
Duke Johnson*
He has one more year but I think he's better.
That's a heavy call.

Yep. Duke is a better football player IMO. Smarter, more physical. Cook is faster. Duke is quicker. Total package I go with Duke but its close.

Cook as a Jr > Duke as a Jr

Duke just went next world his senior year even though he was awesome as a junior. Cook already looks solidly built so he might be ahead of Duke as far as the physical side. Should set up for a monster monster senior season.

What led me to the Hester comparison are two factors:

(1) Acceleration, obviously
(2) The fact that track times might not be the best way to measure their effectiveness because of #1 (acceleration)

He has a much better build for a RB than Hester, however.

For those in the know. What is his body type? No Homo

To me Sony seems to look a little more sleek/slender.

Does Cook have a more of a Portis type build?

Lu, Sony had a mustache when he was in 8th grade I think. Right then, I knew he was going to be a great one.

I think that pic is actually from last year and he is actually even bigger IIRC.
