I hope he stays right the **** where he's at, receiving way too much credit because of an uber-talented unit. The timing seems conspicuous to me. Super Bowl is over. I wonder if Hurtt would come for DT/CoDC

Yes Super Bowl winning coach whose unit just delivered the greatest performance in Super Bowl history leaves NFL to be co-dc at college.
I need your optimism
Through three quarters, the Eagles defensive performance was ahead of the 85 Bears in terms of advanced metrics.I agree it won’t be Hurtt but greatest unit performance in Super Bowl history? Cmon man.
49ers QB/WRs in the Super Bowl vs Broncos.
Bears DL vs the Pats in 86.
Timmy Smith Redskins vs Broncos.
Mahomes had 30 yards at halftime because he couldn’t breathe. The lowest of his career. Eagles weren’t playing against Tony Eason. Eagles’ front four was perfect. They stopped the run and pass. Sacked Mahomes. Directly caused two ints. A fumble. Took away Mahome’s escape hatch on scrambles. Didn’t get out of their rush lanes at all all night. Disciplined. Disruptive. Dominant. Take Timmy Smith and shove him up your *** lol. Eagles front four dominated the Super Bowl and they needed zero help from LBs or safeties.I agree it won’t be Hurtt but greatest unit performance in Super Bowl history? Cmon man.

Because he can't make a throw in the short area unless no one is around the receiver by about five yards.Mahomes had 30 yards at halftime because he couldn’t breathe.
They made all throwing windows tiny enough to make Mahomes not throw the ball there.Eagles front four dominated the Super Bowl and they needed zero help from LBs or safeties.
52-17 beat down Jimmy put on the Bills. This one deserves to be there.I agree it won’t be Hurtt but greatest unit performance in Super Bowl history? Cmon man.

Do you think being exposed in that regard will have a significant effect on his performance going forward now that every DC in the NFL knows this?Because he can't make a throw in the short area unless no one is around the receiver by about five yards.

If there's a QB in there being able to check down in rhythm, that front 4 doesn't do much. Mahomes can't do that.
I don’t think they blitzed one timeMahomes had 30 yards at halftime because he couldn’t breathe. The lowest of his career. Eagles weren’t playing against Tony Eason. Eagles’ front four was perfect. That already took place in the last season and continued in this year. Everyone was aware of how the Chiefs bull****ted their way through the season because their offense was barely good enough to not **** up what the defense did for them.Do you think being exposed in that regard will have a significant effect on his performance going forward now that every DC in the NFL knows this?
That's true but what I thought was insane was how thst pop gun offense didn't prevent them from making it to the Super Bowl. Plus only one team was able to beat them in the regular season as the Broncos loss was with them sitting everyone. My question was more geared toward whether you think that the Chiefs offense will really begin to bottom out now. That already took place in the last season and continued in this year. During the regular season, the Patriots, Raiders and Chiefs were the only teams to not score 30 in a single game. Defenses have stopped being so stubbornly proud.
They'll hover around being average but they won't be that record-breaking unit again. That's true but what I thought was insane was how thst pop gun offense didn't prevent them from making it to the Super Bowl. Challenge Accepted - @JG14Take Timmy Smith and shove him up your *** lol.
Is it really killing you?Okay, it’s killing me now…

first idea that might have merit on this stringDamoine Lewis?
I know he is the current DL coach at Colorado.
That's a great assessment. Offensively they do have one player who scares defenses in Xavier Worthy but outside of him no one really. I don't know how old Chris Jones is but I would imagine they would lose a few defensive players as well. They'll hover around being average but they won't be that record-breaking unit again.
Chiefs also don't have the cap space and the picks to load up and they have players leaving or retiring. Depending on whether they're going to go all in or try to build something longer. They'll be good enough to be in the playoffs, but not good enough to win it all.
Unless they nail the draft the next three years, it'll be difficult.
I love reading this although I would rather see them hover around 6-11 to 9-8 for the next few years. Schadenfreude indeed! They'll hover around being average but they won't be that record-breaking unit again.
