A few tips that I always give new parents;
1. Babies are pretty tough and do not just stop breathing. No need to check every 5 minutes to be sure your baby is alive
2. When you are incredibly tired and can’t figure out why your baby won’t go to sleep and is still crying, curse all you want. Your baby is too young to remember the words you use, and saying the words is a whole lot better than anything else you might do.
3. Try to enjoy some of the moments. You can get so caught up in the work that you can forget that every age brings its own joy.

Make sure you go out on the town with the Mrs while the kid is young and manageable rather than being pent up. Not nearly as easy/enjoyable when the kid gets to running around.
