Great, again, stop taking it so literally. My point is stars in basketball are less accurate than footballSorry, I love Julian (in a non *** way...not that there's anything wrong with that) but Coach L is getting the most out of Julian. It's pretty amazing, but 4 years under him, and I don't think Gamble is a 20/10 guy.
Who in college basketball is a 20/10 guy? Those guys just don't exist right now. He could be a double-double guy. Get you 10 pts and 10 rebounds on a consistent basis if needed.
Way to take as literal as possible. Gamble was rated the same as Diaz, Hite, etc.
He wasn't. Those two were high 4-stars. Gamble was a mid 3-star
Your point started with the incorrect information that Gamble and Graham were 4-star recruits. So if they weren't even ranked as high as you thought they were, how could they be examples of basketball ratings being less accurate than football ratings? You can go through the list of Miami commits during Coker's time and the BCS bowl appearance years and see plenty of 4 and 5-star washouts.
Coaching can make a world of difference in basketball, specifically in big men. Two years removed from Haith and this team is coached exponentially better. That was my point. Coach L getting Gamble as a freshman. Not having to break any bad Haith habits would have been huge for him.
