I get why Miami agreed to play there, but it annoys the **** outta me that they split the Miami ticket allotment up into three sections.
Does no one in Miami's ath. dept. have any balls?

That's what gets me too. Play the game in Chicago, I don't care about that. But from what I have seen, it seems we really got screwed with the ticket allocation.

There are so many other dimensions to this game for the University than making sure that the number of fans for each team are equal.

Setting those considerations aside, if you can name one stadium, not including our home stadium, but just barely, where we could play a historic rivalry game against a team with a large national following and not have their fans significantly outnumber ours, then we should have played the game there. I doubt anyone can name a stadium that fits those criteria.

***** it ain't neutral, get over it.

Yep.

Dont forget ND gets the first of the home and home games; oh and btw, the Miami game is during Thanksgiving weekend when our students are out of town and ND fans have an extra few days to travel for the game. We got screwed! I am surprised Miami didnt agree to have our one "home game" at the Swamp or at Doak.

Beat them in Chicago and strengthen our national brand. Remember, alot of OUR alumni live in the north/northeast. We need to start winning these games where the chips are stacked against us, just like we used to and (sadly) Boise State has been doing (Not a BS fan as I think it is easier to "Get Up" for one or two big games rather then playing a hard schedule).

Dudes played Georgia IN ATLANTA in 2011 and embarrassed, promptly got on a plane and returned to Boise.
Played VT in Maryland same thing. They seized the opportunity and we must do the same.

I believe whatever tickets they don't sell, they have to eat. I think sometimes there is an option to give some back...but either scenario is bad. Buy what you know you can sell. 10-12k would be about right.

They will have just as many fans at Son Life as we will in 2015. Like another poster said "join the Hurricanes Club, buy season tickets and start going to the games!" Our attendance is a disgrace, so I imagine we are making as much money for this game as a home game, if not more.

Uhh,no...they won't.

I remember playing a "home" game in Tampa against the Gators back in '84.

It was definately a Gator crowd in that one.

That was also the first live college football game ever televised by ESPN.

I was at the game which was held at "The Sombrero."

Do any of you recall the running joke after the game? "How many seconds does it take to kill a Gator?" 49 Seconds (or something like that). That's how long it took Kosar to drive the length of the field and score the game winning TD. Willie Smith had a monster game and we picked off Kerwin Bell on the last play of the game and scored another TD to put an exclamation point on the victory!

Huge party that night at Confetti's too...I know old school club....
