Negative Thought: Perryman

He'll be a real good pro.
NFL DC's do wonders with LBs, and DP is a very good one when he is using his strengths.

I think he will be very good in the NFL

I agree. You also have to remember that Perryman is playing lb with some serious handicaps. He seems to always have to shed blocks from interior linemen and his cohorts at linebacker seem to be standing still during most plays.

DP is big. At 240+ he's bigger than most college lb's, pretty fast, and will probably be the strongest linebacker at the combine.
40 reps of 225 is not out of the question.

On a side note, I noticed Olivier Vernon is having the quietest double digit sack year ever.

He'll be a good one... Hope my cowboys draft him in those middle round we've been missing canes on the team for awhile

That's why the Cowboys are a middle of the road NFL team.
You can't win in the pros without at least one Cane on your team.

I'm really interested to see where he's going to go in the NFL draft. Could be anywhere from a late 2nd if someone falls in love with him to an early 4th if he doesn't perform well at the Combine.

He will do excellent on all the strength tests but I don't think he runs under 4.6 on the 40 yard dash. He will measure closer to 5'10 than 6'0. too.

I see similar result unless he cracks a 4.6. mid-late 3rd-4th round IMO unless he cracks the 4.6.

Well, he isn't getting any taller so I'm guessing 3rd round. He's very instinctive as a run stopper. He'll get eaten alive in man coverage, but he should be more than adequate as a pattern reader. Sharpton went in the 4th. Beason went in the 1st. Spence went in the 3rd.

Put him in the right system(4-3) at MLB and he'll be a beast. He's one of my top LBs in this years draft. He and Skov are neck and neck for that #2 MLB ranking. Perryman is very versatile and can likely play all 3 LB spots in a 4-3 but he'd be best at MLB.
