Need to vent a little more about Cuse.

The DB play is what angers me most. Guys consistently with wrong coverage and technique, not jamming WRs at the LOS even in goal-to-go situations, lack of ball awareness, on and on.

Ha Good - this feels like a safe space.

I had to step out for a minute when we were up big - I thought fk this is fine we are killing them...

Got back to 35-28 and still can't really figure out wtf happened.
Ah so it’s your fault.

I was so upset Saturday that I said i was on the fire Cristobal train. That was an overreaction. To be in year 3 and get us to 10-2 is awesome considering we’ve had one other 10 win season in the last 15 years. Now there are some MAJOR flaws with Mario’s teams but he’s been able to fix them every year. Do i expect a similar offense next year? No. We will likely downgrade. But I’m sure we will have a far more balanced team and continue to build on the progress being made. Go Canes

40 years old and a fan for around 35ish years. Some of my earliest memories are at the OB. Followed all the recruiting and every bit of info I can get ahold of for the last 20 or so. I think this last game was one of the most devastating losses of my entire fandom. Was so excited after all this time to play in some nationally relevant big games at the end of the season. Like we have not done since like 2002. With everything riding on winning against Cuse and to go out and get a 21-0 lead only to blow it like that. Wow. I was not really ready for the season to be over. My mind fully anticipated atleast two more big time games with the prospect of more. Now another offseason full of question marks and concerns about how I can’t say for sure our roster will be this strong going into next season. Just a painful painful one. Wish I could remove the part of my brain that is such a fan of this team. I invest too much emotionally in this program.

We’re about the same age, length of being a fan, & fan experience.

Imma tell u y I’m most disappointed in this season; b/c literally w/ the caliber of QB we’ve had, one we’ve not had since the 80’s, + this schedule, even though the goal was just to win 10, that was before knowing just how bad this schedule would be.

Quite frankly, out of all the P4 teams we had quite literally the easiest path to our respective conference’s championship game.

I did this last night after rewatching the Syracuse game just to see what went wrong; I complied our schedule since joining the ACC in 2004, This made me sick af:

2004:
Played 4 ranked teams before the bowl game, 5 total
Combined opponent schedule: 82-59

2005:
Played 3 ranked teams before the bowl game, 4 total
Combined opponent schedule: 75-69

2006:
Played 6 ranked teams before the bowl game, 6 total
Combined opponent schedule: 85-67

2007:
Played 5 ranked teams
Combined opponent schedule: 77-77

2008:
Played 1 ranked team
Combined opponent schedule: 88-65

2009:
Played 4 ranked teams before the bowl game, 5 total
Combined opponent schedule: 100-66

2010:
Played 4 ranked teams before the bowl game, 5 total
Combined opponent schedule: 100-66

2011:
Played 3 ranked teams
Combined opponent schedule: 81-67

2012:
Played 3 ranked teams
Combined opponent schedule: 88-65

2013:
Played 2 ranked teams before the bowl game, 3 total
Combined opponent schedule: 84-81

2014:
Played 2 ranked teams
Combined opponent schedule: 101-68

2015:
Played 4 ranked teams
Combined opponent schedule: 99-68

2016:
Played 1 ranked teams before the bowl game, 2 total
Combined opponent schedule: 89-75

2017:
Played 3 ranked teams before the bowl game, 4 total
Combined opponent schedule: 97-56

2018:
Played 2 ranked teams
Combined opponent schedule: 86-77

2019:
Played 2 ranked teams
Combined opponent schedule: 96-70

2020:
Played 2 ranked teams before the bowl game, 3 total
Combined opponent schedule: 65-54

2021:
Played 3 ranked teams
Combined opponent schedule: 87-63

2022:
Played 2 ranked teams
Combined opponent schedule: 83-69

2023:
Played 4 ranked teams
Combined opponent schedule: 97-71

2024:
Played ZERO ranked teams
Combined opponent schedule: 74-70

This was the 3rd easiest schedule we’ve had since joining the ACC. 2007 was the easiest, but that was also coming after the FIU scandal, along w/ off the field issues and Randy’s 1st yr as a HC ever. 2013 was the 2nd easiest, but that was coming off the clouded probation. Also, neither team had the supposed coaching & definitely not the caliber of QB.

Syracuse is ahead of schedule, but to lose to a 1st yr HC who had his team literally running circles on us, in a must have it game up 21-0, I have no words. I still don’t.

I will say that was probably one of the more important drives of season and was disappointed we went Lyle, Mccormick, Brown sequence for three and out. I was interested to see why we have 2nd qtr lulls and we did not go to the guys who were cooking 1st qtr. Tha wasnt the time to get guys reps. I dont think martinez touched ball in 2nd, George had like 100 yards in 1st, stick to gameplan! Ride Restrepo, George, Arroyo, this was our season!
Yeah, looking back on it, I think that 3rd down miss to Brown was the real turning point of the game. I never could figure out what happens to this offense in 2nd quarters this year. Even if we just get a few more field goals in 2nd quarters this year instead of the quickly stalled drives and 3 and outs....we're looking at something entirely different. It was definitely an....interesting...sequence, going away from the guys who were gashing Syracuse with ease in the 1st.
