THe end of the article starts to sound soft on the NCAA. I am thinking this author is beta.

F*ck the God**** NCAA....it needs to be blown to f*cking pieces. Literally. I guess those f*ckers should have thought about that s*it before they over-stepped their boundaries and basically broke the law. Go witch-hunt someone else, c*ck-suckers, nobody cares.

The article in its essence is a massive condemnation of the NCAA. Its main premise is that these investigators couldnt understand what the fuss about this was. That's as good a reason for scrapping this entire organization and starting from scratch as any. Its clear that the NCAA insulated in its bubble of misappropriated power has become a tyrant. Its operates outside of the basic tenants of the constitution and the law. With the NCAA there is no right to face your accuser or have a speedy trial. There is no right to cross examine a witness. The NCAA -the biggest monopoly in the country has lost its credibility as an enforcer. Only dramatic changes of personnel and procedures can save it and its board and its executives appear too arrogant to understand this.

Everything the ncaa is experiencing now is self inflicted. Miami cooperated The NCAA got info on some stuff that happened like a suit or dinner, small stuff. So they had their case but for whatever reason they just couldnt stop themselves. They went for the jugular missed and slit their own throats instead. The part I will never understand is why were they trying so hard to come down on miami when the university was so cooperative. Everyone on this board knew it would result in other schools not cooperating just like everyone on this board knew using someone like shapiro was gonna burn them at some point.

Either the ncaa is filled with retards who cant look at the big picture or they are a bunch of ****s that enjoy ******* students and their schools over.

Julie Roe Lach, the N.C.A.A.’s vice president for enforcement, made a presentation to the group, which included every men’s basketball coach, football coach and athletic director in the conference. When she opened up the room for discussion, Auburn’s football coach, Gene Chizik, raised his hand first.
He peppered Roe Lach with a flurry of questions about the N.C.A.A.’s investigation into Cam Newton and why the N.C.A.A. had not publicly announced that the investigation was over. Chizik complained that the inquiry’s open-ended nature had hurt Auburn’s recruiting and he followed up at least three times, leading to a testy exchange.
“You’ll know when we’re finished,” Roe Lach told Chizik, according to several coaches who were at the meeting. “And we’re not finished.”

She doesn't sound that soft to me.

Typical **** in that sort of position. Most feel like they need to be overly aggressive to the point of insolence in order to fit in with the dudes. We can see where her approach got her.

Just to put a face to the **** attitude

The amazing thing from that article, is that no one from the compliance office believes that they did anything wrong. That's staggering to me and reiterates this "above the law" (or "I am the law") mentality they have.

Only one solution: Nuke the whole place and start over.

Most shocking to me is that the enforcement staff is shocked! This was standard operating procedure apparently? Najjar was not going rogue and both he and Lach took the fall for the organization as a whole.

The beauty of this fall out is that they are mortally wounded. The next investigation? GOOD LUCK getting cooperation - there is not a college out there that didnt get the memo stating that...... The emperor wears no clothes.

...because they believed Shapiro was telling the truth about everything. They didn't get that he was mixing a little truth with a lot of lies and that he had an agenda to bring Miami down.

When you define people's jobs adversarially, with a measuring stick being heads accumulated, you get the behavior you see from the NCAA. They should probably tie compensation and advancement explicitly to allegations upheld, so the enforcement staff has a disincentive to overcharge or go off the reservation.

Btw., it's not unavoidable that a prosecutorial function is adversarial in the ncaa model. Hey modeled their prosecution function on our judicial system, but don't have an independent judiciary or jury to balance it out. Other models exist.

It's really not shocking at all to me at this point.

The funny thing is that the enforcement people who were shouting and yelling are probably rightfully upset at their bosses. Not defending those ******** at all, but as far as they're concerned, they were doing what they were told by their superiors who, no doubt, were told to do so by people like Emmert and Isch.

These people know that Ajjar and Julie Roe Lach were just scapegoated to save people like Emmert and Isch. They probably know that when more **** comes to light, Emmert will gladly throw them under the bus as well. Hopefully, this precipitates some more of them going rogue and letting out some info on the NCAA.

I want us to take the whole system down. The NCAA is a sham of an organization and needs to be held accountable for their own misdeeds.
