Interesting.... probably since that professor spoke out and the former basketball player

North Carolihna announces it has received a verbal notice of inquiry from the NCAA that it will reopen its 2011 examination of academic...

irregularities. The NCAA has determined additional people with information or previously uncooperative might now be willing to speak.

Feel bad for UNC or any other school that has to deal with NCAA bull****.

Agree with the poster above.... never seems to be the SEC schools in the crosshairs....

Let's chase Miami, UNC, Oregon, etc...while the $EC conducts bu$iness a$ u$ual.

Problem is the SEC is good at what they do and virtually no one associated with their shenanigans is going to make a peep. As you said it's how they do business and have been for decades. You think anyone's going to rat out Nick Saban, he runs the state.

I still find it funny the guy who tried to rat out Miami did so to the SEC as well, but no one even blinked.

two words...Cam Newton.

Read the story of John Thrower.... He is the Auburn alum and lawyer who turned in Gene Jelks and brought down Alabama and handed them their first sanctions in school history...

Nearly the entire state of Alabama turned their backs on him, several threats were made against his life. He couldn't practice law anymore in the state because most judges were Alabama grads...

Its more than just football in the SEC they look it as life...

They aren't really good at what they do. They are pretty blatant and reckless. Its just that SEC schools, in particular Alabama, are generating so much revenue for the NCAA, they are given immunity. A simple google search turns up pages full of Alabama players flashing wads of cash and standing in front of tricked out cars like they are in a Cash Money video. Pretty open and shut if you ask me. But does the NCAA even acknowledge this stuff? Yea right.

Exactly the NCAA comes at us and uses illegal and unethical means to try to do so based off the words of a sociopath and pathological ponzi schemer. However when $EC signees/players post pics flashing stacks or show up on gameday wearing $2000 suits (Julio Jones) they say the money could have come from anywhere no proof. They say this despite the fact that so many of these kids' families' household income is at the poverty line. What a complete joke

Of course not, especially since the NCAA prez was the prez of L$U before going to the NCAA

You have to think that the NCAA has SOMETHING on UNC to reopen this **** to what seems out of the blue to anyone else but UNC fans..

'NCAA is saying that more people are willing to come front and tell what happen while there. i know one person was given Sideline tickets to the football game and other gifts. sucks for them. we do have that 5 star DT thats favor to them that we are after so eliminating one school increases the odds.

The SEC schools have learned from the past. They do not throw stones. The only way to expose them is for a third party to invest a couple million dollars in a private investigation. The street agents are the weak link. They are hustlers, but still stupid. You establish a record and the tax man will come calling.

Was it a month ago that the SEC told the NCAA they would go form a new football division? No way the NCAA will rock the SEC money-boat.

Mark Emmert should be in jail for the tactics he employs at the expense of the student athletes. Drag as many competing schools' reputations thru the dirt so he, his pal Nick and the $EC can do as they please. Look no further than Ole Miss' recruiting class last year.

Once you sign with an agent, you can still be at school and have access to lots of cash and cars. I remember during the early 2000s that a lot players at the U would share their agent's cars and these players would have lots of cash to spend. I remember Shockey getting access to a few hi-end cars to just drive around and he would let friends drive them around too. We had a lot of 1st round draft picks during that time period (same as Alabama today) with a lot of multimillion dollar contracts on the horizon.
