Right but that was very isolated. Bruce did it on his own, lied, etc. This is different because it is across multiple departments over a large period of time. Different things.

LOL. Twitter is having issues, mods deactivated some of my posts because it was slowing down the site.
Actually Kiffin and Vols football were involved as well. That doesn't even matter. They don't hit the basketball team harder because the football has shady stuff too.

No ... The Basketball issue was a basketball and Pearl Issue. Don't even remember the football team being involved with anything, from an NCAA level. I personally know Kiffin and co. were knee deep in whores, payoffs, wrecked loaned cars and everything else $EC, but I don't think the NCAA looked twice.
The Vols football team got hit with very minor stuff as well for what they did. The point is Pearl got crushed and the basketball program wasn't crushed. So its possible that if Haith does get a show cause the basketball program can avoid a postseason ban.

I'm with you guys that I really dislike the notion of "***** the basketball team". As a graduate I wanna see the school do well across the board, whether it be in sports or academics, you have to care about the university. To me personally, anyone who says otherwise isn't a true Cane.
But anyways, can anyone break down the differences between our case and the one USC had a few years back with OJ Mayo? They seem like the could be similar in some ways with the alleged DeQuan Jones payment.

I'm not an expert on the USC case, but there seem to be big differences when it comes to dollar figures. Bush and his family got in the 6 figures. Plus the basketball coach was personally handing out hundreds. In our situation, the DQJ allegation was the biggest dollar number, but was apparently unproven (despite the kid being forced to sit half his senior season before lawyering up). Randy Shannon supposedly warned players to stay away from Shapiro. With football it looks like assistant coaches ignored Randy and got in bed with Shapiro. Seems that Haith had personal involvement with Shapiro, hence why he is in deep ****.

Appreciate it. I knew that the USC mess dealt with alot of stuff about agents funneling money and all kinds of stuff along those lines, but I didn't know how much are stuff compared.
Sounds like if USC got a 1 year ban and a loss of one scholarship, we should be penalized less.
