NCAA firing VP of Enforcement...

BTW this is also the lady(UF grad) who sent the threatening letter to former players about talk or you will be considered guilty

No, it's not. This is Julie Roe Lach, the VP for Enforcement. The chick who sent the letter was Molly Richman, Assistant Director for Enforcement. Both are on the Enforcement staff, but 2 different positions.

I stand corrected then , thought it was the same

Well, I've got to think that this firing, which is directly related to our investigation, has to be an indication that their case is crumbling. U don't think so?

Crumbling? Skating?

Are you ****ing kidding me?

We are already past the point of being ****ed. What's going on right now is just a ****ing joke. We've already been hammered harder than we should have been.

Simmer the **** down, sport. Did u happen to read the comment by Smoky that I responded too? His comment basically was that we are still GOING to get it, as in, a huge penalty is still coming down the river. So, yeah, I disagree with his POV and feel that we've already received more than enough. In other words, you're being a **** about something on which we agree.

Also, why the **** is everyone all of the sudden up in arms about the "We skate" thing? It's been used a zillion times on this board without issue, but this thread brings out a bunch of butthurt? Let me reiterate, I don't think we've skated and it was tongue-in-cheek. I get that everyone is ready for this whole friggin chapter to be over, but finding a new intolerance for a board cliche ain't gonna turn the page any faster.

Pretty sure that was a different **** who extorted our former players. The level of treachery was deep on this case.

The scapegoating that is happening at the NCAA is called "self preservation" and it happens when a party digs their heels in to an even more adamant position.

Make no mistake, the NCAA is getting their act together so they can still go after miami. They can't do that until they've "cleaned house" and flushed out the scapegoats. It happens everywhere. Heck, look at Larry ****er. He scapegoated a bunch of folks to save his hide - he was digging his heels in.

Same thing is happening here. NCAA is willing to drag this out as long as possible. JMO.

I can't remember the last time scapegoating actually worked.

I would agree. It's generally a last resort option and usually works in the short run. My larger point was that the firings only confirms the theory that the NCAA still plans to go after Miami rather than offer up a "you're right, we ***ked up. Penalty is time served" type of mea culpa that everyone here seems to expect.
