I'm struggling to understand the logic in juniors playing in this game.

Good to see if they can perform with other great players. Gives a head start for coaches evaluating but doesn’t help the SRs in the game

I like that he is 250lbs already instead of the 205lb DEs we've been bringing in lately (nothing wrong with that, but in an age where patience doesn't exist, those carry way more risk).

Lowe can play year 1 at that weight.

True but you can easily be effective at the college level at 230 if you have that great first step. Pickett & Lightfoot seem to have it so we'll have waves of different d ends with different body types to throw at the opposition.
