navarro tweeted that Kirby

You can apply the redshirt later anyways. No need to make that decision now. When he is healed we'll see where we're at and then make the decision.

Freakin sucks though. His HS is right in my area so I was hoping I'd get to watch a kid from around here at The U this season.

you in Stone mountain?

Closer to Lithonia but it's not far. I was excited about Storm Johnson too. He was from Loganville. ***** him though. Kid could've been making noise right now. Some kids just don't have patience these days.

****. Really felt he would have been starting by mid-season, he's a beast. Would have loved to see him and Perryman side by side. At the very least this slows his development.

Our linebacker depth is starting to get pretty scary. Johnson and Paul are banged up and Cornelius isn't even 220 pounds. Terry and Blue are too young and light. Can we take Armbrister seriously?

I can't remember the last time we went a whole season without some kind of serious injury. Injuries happen, but it seems like we're just more prone to the bad ones instead of milder ones.

Especially on defense. It was brutal most of the randy years.

If he's supposed to come back mid-season, I wouldn't redshirt him. Let him play and learn on the job. He's already an EE, so what he now needs is experience when the lights go on.[ /QUOTE]

1000% Agree

You still can watch a kid from where you live play at The U. Tyrone Cornelius went to the same school.

well...we do have..Cain and Mccord working with the DE'S....we really should crosstrain those two guys in my opinion...

I'm sure Cain can step in and play some time at Lb...even though he might lock down a starting de spot...

Mccord is athletic enough.....that he can play over there also.....i think they actually like the walk on kid Akil Craig a bit too.

The LB depth isn't any worse off than last year at this time. People need to relax. Perryman, Buchanon, Gaines, Paul, Johnson, Cornelius, Armbrister, Terry, and Blue is more bodies than we've had on the roster for the past few seasons. That doesn't even include Cain and McCord who will be in the 3-4 lineup.

Injuries happen, next man in...

Was looking forward to seeing Kirby too...lots of good LBers to come out of the Stone Mountain/Tucker area in the last few years
