I can throw a ball over them mountains
No matter how many times I've seen the movie this scene always makes me crack up laughing. The throwing motion, Uncle Rico's face when throwing, the impact on Napolean's face and subsequent glasses falling off is just comedic gold lololol
Vince Young wishes he had Uncle Rico's mechanics. No matter how many times I've seen the movie this scene always makes me crack up laughing. The throwing motion, Uncle Rico's face when throwing, the impact on Napolean's face and subsequent glasses falling off is just comedic gold lololol
Fields is supposed to be the recruiting ACE and we are legit TEU. I expect us to get whoever are top f*cking targets are at TE. I'm going to be ****ed if we end up with anything less. Hartley landed Brevin and Mallory in the same class. Fields has no excuse.
Brevin Jordan will be a top 3 round draft pick at TE in THIS DRAFT. Will Mallory also is in the batters box. Lashlee focused on Brevin in the pass game a good amount.Compare the TE draft record of Stanford, ND or Iowa to tempo spread schools from the Malzahn or Briles tree. It's night and day. If you're a Zach Ertz type you should go to a school that uses that player archetype (move TE) accordingly.
It's a pretty simple concept if you understand schemes and how roles are defined within them. Fit matters.
This is very flawed blanket analysis. Players need to be aware of how their role projects at every level and where that fits into the scheme they're going to. A TE who excels on intermediate option routes should be looking at pro-style schools that utilize multiple TEs or spreads with West Coast concepts like Texas A&M or LSU. A TE who is athletic, blocks and is great after the catch should also look at schools like Miami, OU or Texas.Brevin Jordan will be a top 3 round draft pick at TE in THIS DRAFT. I cant worry about Malzahn or Briles tree when Lashlee is at Miami and te talent that is open to him is much better thna anything he would get with Malzahn or Briles could ever think of.
If im a big time TE ..my list would HAVE to include Iowa, Stanford and Miami...pro style, ho style whatever....Miami has to be on your list.
Every TE fits at Miami.
You think Maryland's kid is good enough to have a secured spot?We have offered so many te's this cycle. And they are from all over the country.
I really like the Nebraska te's and would take one of them (we offered two of them). Pretty much its going to be just 1 to add with Russel Maryland's kid.
For better or worse we got a TON of prime time games for recruits to see usIf he knows about Brevin & how we use him
then he has an eye on us.
Long and Freirmuth are used exactly like Will Mallory was used. This is very flawed blanket analysis. Lashlee is not an idiot - he'll use the talent he has available to him. Jordan and Mallory were both used in very sensible ways but neither of those guys play like this Delp kid. Hunter Long and Pat Freiermuth are top 5 TEs but they'd be borderline useless in Miami's scheme because the things they do well - top-of-route separation - don't translate.
So no it's not about any big-time TE it's about the right one(s). As for Arroyo he can do it all, which is nice cause his route-running chops could come in handy on 3rd and longs (an area where Jordan struggled).
His film looks good. He appears to be around 6'3-6'4 210-215 and is a willing blocker, comes from a power house program, he also runs great routes. I like him....BUT also i know we are after some BIG BIG BIG timers at TE in this class. You think Maryland's kid is good enough to have a secured spot?
I would think the first two who decide to commit would be accepted by the staff.
Let’s not forget the fact that he took the steak off of Kip’s plate before he could even cut a piece offNo matter how many times I've seen the movie this scene always makes me crack up laughing. You're really stuck on irrelevant history from years long gone in the past. Miami's scheme now looks nothing like when Kellen Winslow was working the middle of field. And you're especially wrong with that Mallory comment. Long and Freiermuth ran a ton of stick routes reading leverage at the top of the route and creating slivers of space to make contested catches between the numbers. Mallory is a straight-linish seam-stretcher and was used accordingly on play action and schemed vertical shot-plays.Long and Freirmuth are used exactly like Will Mallory was used.
Its nor flawed. We have had 100000 oc's and te is a position that still is heavily utilized here and be productive.Doesnt matter...we have produced blocking tes, move tes, flex out guys...everything. Please dont mention te's and teams like LSU and TX a&m (their current te who was on the top of our board is/was nice though) with us. If your saying Nd, Iowa, Stanford i get it.
Peterson is the top of the rung to me. Along with Delp that would be a helluva TE pair for ‘22His film looks good. The 2 Nebraska TE's, Darren Agu, i even like Marcus Peterson out of Lake City.
Jimbo doesnt love sh*t with the te's. Lol (Wydermyer is just a got**** beast that he is forced to use, i was mad when we didnt land him his hs film showed it) He was at fsu for a 100 years and has an below avg hback in Nick Oleary to show for it. **** my own **** relative wasted away at TE at FSU during the recent time frame. You're really stuck on irrelevant history from years long gone in the past. LSU has had back to back years with very productive TEs who move across the formation and run a variety of NFL routes. Jimbo Fisher loves using TEs in the intermediate area with O'Leary and Wydermyer the best examples.
TE will continue to be a productive position at Miami because it's a key position in the run game and there are matchup advantages that can be schemed as defenders are drawn to run fakes. It's just not currently a core part of the dropback pass game which is funneled outside in Miami's scheme. That will continue to be the case until we see more 2-high looks with the middle of field open. Either way Miami should prioritize athletes over skill guys in that scheme. For example, Delp is a far more talented receiver than Brantley but Brantley is built like a tank, can line up anywhere, block anyone and has smooth athleticism when he's schemed into space. That's a better fit for this offense, rankings or black/white "talent" assessments be damned.
Do you understand now?
The national guys im all about right nowI'm not looking up national prospects at TE now. There are only a few good ones every year tbh.
Tightend recruiting has been strong. Kaden Helms visiting in two weeks. Big Iowa target. They do tightends just as well there as canes do
