That's why the automatics are crazy, IMO. You've got a bunch of teams muddling around .500 from average conferences that are in the tourney because they won a weekend round robin. i.e. FIU at 29-29.
 
Great draw. UF can't be happy. Number three seed but due to location have to get by a good FSU team that, I believe, took 2 out of 3 from them in the regular season.

You should do that anyway. Sounds like fun! But yeah, losing to FIU would suck in a big way. Doubt it happens though. I really think this baseball team is too talented for that to happen.

We got a really favorable draw. ECU is playing good baseball now, but they're not that good. Other two teams aren't good. We should breeze to the Supers (yeah, I know what's happened recently in the postseason).

Not only a National Seed, but perhaps one of the most favorable draws ever? remember when we were the BEST team in baseball, and they handpicked BCC (or was it FAMU) as our 4th seed, because they had a great pitcher, and lumped in a major conference team that was dangerous, THEN handpicked us to play ASU, with those two 100 mph fastballers, in the Supers?)

last years regional was a gimee, BUT with a SR at UF (if all panned out) But this? Wow!

I LOVED ESPN justifying it by saying what a huge local rivalry FIU brings to the table. :) Yeah, y'all keep thinking that. :)

And the Super Regional matchup? Is there any Regional you would rather play the winner of? Seriously?

Free Shoes gets screwed? WHEN does that ever happen? They usually get cakewalk Regionals and panzy *** SR opponents, while they make the Canes go through UF.

UF getting penalized, IMO, for having a cake Regional last year, choking, and then whining about it. I'll take our Regional anyday over three "stepchild" Florida teams with something to prove.

Free Shoes is gonna clobber the Gatas in the Supers! (Not like that is a happy thing, the best part is you know Martin is choking in the CWS)

No excuses now!

Still can't believe we got a NS and a really nice draw to Omaha.

Maybe it goes back to what I always said. We may be "Too Good" for them to match us up with the likes of UF, Vandy, FSU and other historically favored teams.


Canes have as much or more momentum now than maybe even 2007?

Thinking I should plan a SR stay in the 305 right now?

Not to jinks anything, but has anyone gone to Omaha recently and if so, where is the best place to stay?

Traveled to Omaha this past year for the Nebraska UM game and we stayed at the nicest Hilton I have ever stayed at in the heart of downtown omaha steps away from the ball park. Great bar in the lobby allows from a easy stumble to the park. If we make it im there and I will be staying at the Hilton Omaha
