National Championship - ND v OSU*

biggest whiff in history and it came from Mario
How is it a whiff when a kid CHOOSES to sign somewhere, despite Miami doing every single thing possible? This wasn't Miami slow playing a guy, this wasn't Miami completely misevaluating. This was Miami losing a recruiting battle to a blue blood that offered just as much, if not more and also has a ton of recent success to point to.

I’m back again.

Ryan Day wins a national championship. He is now 7-6 vs top 5 teams. He’s on a list of only 5 others guys to be .500 or better against top 5 opponents. And he’s 3rd all time in winning percentage. All of you who clowned me in the OSU vs Oregon game earlier this year, for calling him an elite coach, with an elite resume, can come take your medicine.

its a whiff cause hes your top target and you went up against OSU and lost. Just like when we beat FSU and UF for a recruit Billy whiffs and gets stuffed in a locker. Dont cope bruh its just facts

pay for a top flight roster and these are the results, always has been always will be
It's about more than the roster. Ohio State has been a machine for the better part of a century. Think about the coaches they hire, you have to be a complete idiot to fail there, because you have EVERYTHING needed to win. You have the community and institutional support, you have a legit local talent pool where you have little significant competition for guys, plus you also have every single possible thing to sell recruits: Tradition, Money, Facilities, Academics.

is Day still a corch or is it about talent?

asking for a friend

I don’t think it is realistic to believe UM will ever get anywhere near Ohio State’s overall talent level (based on 247 composite). They have 14 5 stars. This is the era of free agency, we don’t have that kind of money (maybe Bezos changes that). We CAN be like a better version of ND though - competently coached and with fundamentally sound players (though not elite athletes) making up the bulk of the roster, but with 6 or 7 5 star playmakers (which ND doesn’t have)
