My thoughts of the program after a tough week

get a new dc and we will be fine.

You hit on something. In the ACC, if FSU and Clemson didnt fall off, this would be a very strong conference. GT, Cuse, are on come up. SMU had a weak schedule but I think their money can keep them competitive. Pitt is a little inconsistent. Duke will be ok. the narrative our conference sucks will be fix once FSU hires a real coach and if Clemson ever got back on track.
Yes, the ACC will be very strong if FSU, Clemson, Miami, SMU, Duke, GT and Cuse are all very good.

And still won't be positioned like the Big 2

Dead program. Probably be like 7-5 next year. Offense will regress unless Mario pulls some cam ward miracle again. defense may slightly improve

It doesn't matter, but if we had played Clemson league schedule instead of ours, then we would have played SMU even being 6-2. They played a terrible league schedule, and the one top 7 ACC team they played they got beaten at home by double digits.

They got to face VT with a hurt Drones and Tuten, and Pitt with a backup QB. Cade's late miracle 50 yard QB scramble at Pitt ended up being the difference of Clemson over Miami since Miami would have had the tiebreaker.

Had we gotten to the ACC title game at 10-2 people also wouldn't be so downtrodden for the most part.

Anyways I feel good about lots of positions for next year, but we need a QB, playmaker at WR, a few veteran DL, and some DB's.

Next year is huge for Mario, because the narrative right now is Miami will fall off a cliff like FSU without Ward. Im sure that was used on the trail some.

I think our talent at RB, OL, TE, DE, LB, and our 2 young CBs will keep that from happening.

well dabo is clearly past his time there. FSU could still appeal to a good coach.
sec is just top heavy. people act like Syracuse and GT cant beat UF or LSU.
SMU will have money to throw around. I hope if we leave we go to Big 10 though.

smu had the biggest cupcake schedule.

Miami needs to appeal to a good coach. Dabo and the demise of Clemson always seem to be exaggerations.

Clemsons was worse.

Stanford
UVA
WF
FSU

VT-hurt QB and RB
Pitt-backup QB
NC State-it was early and Bailey first start
Lousiville-lost at home by double digits

SMU was weak also, but slightly tougher:

Lousiville
Duke
FSU
UVA
Cal
BC
Stanford
Pittsburgh

Top 7 ACC league teams

Miami played 4(3 on road)
SMU played 2
Clemson 1

a very good DC. look at recruiting. all the defensive kids who turned us down are the sons of players and/or coaches. they saw our defense and rotation and dont like it.

It all boils down to: do you really believe that high school recruiting is the best way to build a winner? If so, then you should be confident that our roster is improving enough to make us a contender in the immediate future.

If you think we’re going to struggle, then you either think recruiting is overrated, or you think actual X and O coaching is more important or both.

That is an indictment of the state of the program. That is not fans being mopes. That is not G5 Billy spending Bull Gator Money. That is the sons of players and/or coaches saying "nah, I ain't buying what Miami is selling."

3rd DC in 4 seasons.

I agree. im not sending my son to play for guidry. he cant coach, develop or run a rotation. lives and dies with Kiko, Jaden, etc.

Duke isn't good yet Manny got them to 9 wins and had a lead against us in the 3rd quarter. Like mentioned above, Manny won 5 of his final 6 games, yet Mario got his *** handed to him by MTSU, Duke, FSU, etc in his first year. This claim about Mario rebuilding the culture is some false narrative by Mario and his buddies. Indiana won 11 games this year in Curt Cignetti's 1st year and few schools had a worse football culture than Indiana...Kenny Dillingham just won 10 games with ASU

Thanks for all the nonsense you posted

Duke isn’t good and neither is your boyfriend Manny who got his *** handed to him by Mario

TrumpyCane thinks this is clearly a ***** Miaz burner account

Truth hurts that your **** boy Mario isn't any better than Manny. 21-15 vs 22-15 in 3 seasons at UM. As far as nonsense goes, you are the KING of posting nonsense

It's different when you lose the last game of the season with everything on the line.

If we had been 10-2 with losses to VT and Florida (and still missed the ACCCG and playoffs) the mood on here would be very different.
This! Nine teams in the playoffs going into the last weekend still had to win to remain in. Miami was the only team to lose. Not a good look with everything on the line.

Oregon, Texas, and Ohio State were the only teams that didn't need to win to remain in. The nine teams that absolutely had to win to remain in are listed below, in no particular order.

1. PSU...beat a bad Maryland team on the road
2. Indiana...destroyed an abysmal Purdue team at home.
3. Notre Dame...beat a below average USC team on the road.
4. Tennessee...beat an average Vanderbilt team on the road.
5. UGA...beat a slightly above average GT team at home, coming from behind and forcing OT
6. Boise St...beat a bad Oregon St team at home
7. SMU...beat a bad Virgina team on the road. (Still going to ACCCG, but no guarantee of win)
8. Arizona State/Iowa State...both beat their opponents to be able to play in Big 12 championship
9. Miami...Lost to an above average Syracuse team on the road

Yes, TrumpCane loves Mario that’s why when the original poster try to defend losing to Georgia Tech and Syracuse Trumpycane called it out

Btw numbers are hard but 22- 15 is better than 21-15

Keep defending Manny in the year 2024

I've thought about this too but haven't seen it discussed much. Clemson should have lost this game, and if they did, we would have been in the ACCCG even with the loss last weekend

Apparently #s are really HARD for you as Manny was 21-15 at UM and Mario is 22-15...not sure where you got your #s from but they are WRONG. If you think 1 more win in 3 years is worth $8 million a year plus all the recruiting $$ Mario got over Manny, then that says everything
