If so it proves what a good academic institution Gulliver is !

Is there any truth that Mullins's score on his ACT was so high that he was obligated to retake it?

the suggestion is that there were some shenanigans with the first sitting for the exam, hence why he might have to take it again.

i hope this isnt the case and/or that he does well enough on the second sitting.

what is the board hearing?

Where are you hearing this? I haven't heard any such thing. Also, isn't there a rule that a player cannot sign without achieving the necessary ACT/SAT score first? If his test is under review then im not sure he would've been qualified to sign on NSD

If you take the ACT and do more than 11 points better than your last attempt they make you retake it

June 27th we will find out.

I'm not going to confirm anything but when I was at the Clemson game, I was there with him & his family and they were confident he's getting in. Obviously take with grain of salt as you wish.

I was told through a source(my friends little brother is going to Gulliver this upcoming school year and on the football team, has 2 D-1 offers already), apparently he needed 10 more points on one of his tests. This was a while back though.

Hopefully we aren't talking 10 points on the ACT. Don't see that happening

Fwiw, he's probably referring to the "ACT sum" score the NCAA uses. I.e. going from a 65 to a 75 (which is really just a 2-3 point overall score increase).

Needing an actual 10 point increase would be absurd, unless Mullins just wrote his name and left the rest of the test blank the 1st time

Yeah needing a 10 point increase, to just reach the qualification ACT score would mean he got like a 8 on his first attempt, which would just be sad.

Reminds me of Gray and Lamar Miller. Both could have balled out at camps given their athleticism and increased their star ratings. But the risk of being forced to go Juco was too great. So they ground out their rising Junior spring/summer and senior fall semesters, and made it into UM. They put in the work and got the right result.

IMO, the fact Mullins was a no-show during camps suggests he really did get his academics in order, just like Gray and Miller. Mullins is also lucky he is a Gulliver kid. That school has all the right resources for him to get into Miami if he just puts in the work. Looks like he did. Congrats to him and can't wait to see him in a Canes uniform in August.
