Most pleasant surprise this year...

I think he could be used a lot more too.

Just wish they would run some wildcat with him, whip it out against FSU. Show them that big arm, you know what I am talking about.

+1

It's nice that Miami hasn't really had to try anything tricky all year. I don't even think the playbook has been partially cracked open. I also think FSU is the game we see Crawford air it out.

My man, our first play from scrimmage was a flea flicker......
DC has stepped up for us as a back up but he is not the biggest surprise. In fact, I really think people are starting rely on him too much and how good he really is. As stated our biggest improvement has been our play upfront, and it's not just a healthy porter. Our second unit of Renfrow along with L Robinson have been great. Last year Luther was a lost child out there. This year you see the kid not only making plays, because he made some last year also, but he isn't making crazy blunders. Chickillo is growing into his role more and more and players like Kamalu have been a surprise. That's not even taking into consideration of our new found pass rush, courtesy of McCord and AQM.

God **** was AQM and McCord recruiting coups for golden.

It's the d and one guy who has really stepped up is Tyrone Cornelius. I also like how guy stepped up when Deon bush went down.

Crawford definitely gets the nod on offense because he essentially replaced a real leader and tough nosed guy in Mike James.

those played he made against fla really stood out for me......the way he stopped the option on third down and the bat down on another third down was huge

Wheeler and Armbristrer bar none.

I killed armbrister last yr and think the drop tween he and that ej goon would be huge.....wrong kid is a physical prescence and brings it.

Wheeler imo is beter than mcdermott...flat out imma say it.

The addition of Gilbert and Renfrow during fall camp to the D line and the fact that they are both working out.

Jenkins play at safety has in approved and makes me excited more moving forward with him and bush roaming around

I haiidn't looked at our WR stats in a while but does everyone realize Hurns has almost twice as many yards and catches as everyone else?

Crazy.

And Coley is #2 in yards and catches. HE COMIN.

****. Coley has more yards than PD? I would've bet the house the wrong way on that one. Intredasting.

To be fair I think he has him 205 to 204 but yeah Coley is #2 in both categories. Crazy. Hurns is blowing everyone away though.

The biggest surprise is how all of the so called scouts and analysts here who threw around the JAG label way to liberally and prematurely have had to eat crow. Glad most of you weren't judged on two years of college.

second, apply the same to the d and coach d

and last, how people have also come more around to golden and crews recruiting "reaches" now that said jags are no longer and many of their early offers this year with 2 and no stars suddenly look like 3 or 4 stars and getting recruited by the scum eats conference.

Throws down the mic. Next.

Armbrister has made me forget about Eddie Johnson being gone, kid has played great this season

Armbrister, Cornelius, wheeler, Gaines
All of these guys have taken their next step
Not the Next Step, because some of these guys don't have endless ceilings, but have contributed more than anyone expected

EVERYTHING! The STs kicking game with the exception of one missed FG vs USF and one blocked punt vs UF have been GREAT (during the offseason, there was a question as to wether we would even have someone that could hit FGs)

D has been light years better than anything we have seen in many years. Forcing turnovers! Stops!

Recievers and RBs are all World

Only questions is OL consistancy and QB

This...+ 1 billion. These two & Porter anchor the most improved part of the team...the defense. Gilbert allows Green to play less (but more meaningful snaps). Porter and Renfrow are solid up the middle. It all starts there. I love the offense and it's different looks...but the additions of Renfrow and Gilbert have been the biggest surprise.
