More practice notes from Matt Porter

A large portion of how his work is evaluated is by the number of clicks he's able to produce for his employer.

He comes off a little whiny but that industry is failing and the way they stay relevant is through clicks generated...give the man his due and it's all good. He does a great job bringing a service to those of us outside of the viewing area in my opinion.

If his info is on a free site, why can't it be copy and pasted as long as it's sourced/linked?

Duke, 5"8', 206lbs????????

Yeah...he gained 10 lbs per the article. Not sure if that's good or bad.

Not sure how I feel about that either. Think they ask Joe to bulk up that much? May negate the speed he gained going into his senior year at Central.

If Duke can still run a 4.39 (I think that's what he ran the last time the clocked them), or better, I'm fine with it I guess.

I honestly don't think Duke was running a 4.39 last year. I know they said that but just look at how easily he got ran down early in the UNC game last year.

He lost a step for sure but that was no slouch that tracked him. If you rewatch it there's a third guy chasing him that Duke just burns.

The guy who ran him down was a Butch kid. price- kid has major jets and explosion.

It's still copyrighted material. Copying and pasting the whole thing is not fair use by any stretch of the imagination. There's no hard and fast standard as to what is "fair use" but copying a paragraph or two and adding a bit of editorial comment usually passes muster.

For all of you calling him whiny, I'm sure none of you would object to people stealing your work product, right?

Matt is that you?

The only reason I know of this child stalker porter is due to cut n paste....guy needs to lighten up and lets his work be seen by everyone maybe he gets a better gig...

The guy that hawked him down, wasn't a slouch. As long as he can still bust 20+ yarders on a consistent basis, I'm cool with it. I don't think Duke's game is to really be the fastest guy on the field. His vision, and cutting ability are his best traits.

Being up ten pounds should make that stiff arm even more beastly though.

The problem I have with the extra weight is that Johnson was killer as a Freshman by making people miss.

The extra lbs clearly made him feel like he could run over people as a Sophmore. That's not his game.

Matt is that you?

Yeah, anyone who doesn't take the extreme anarchist view that all intellectual property rights are illegitimate must be a sock-puppet.

Matty aint happy.

Kills me a little bit inside each time I post a really long story, and two minutes later I see it copy-pasted in full on a message board.

Really don't want to lecture, but maybe people who copy-and-paste stories to message boards don't realize it's illegal. Please don't do it.

Be thankful. At least a few more people may now read it.
