Bama getting caught should be no problem. Everyone knows what goes on there including the NCAA. The problem is the NCAA turning a blind eye to it.

Thing with Bama I heard is they dont necessarily pay you to go there...but when you go there and ball you get paid by boosters. Heard this from a Dee Hart family member TFWIW

There were like 6 rivals interviews from spring 14 to spring 15. Saying coaches were on him, UM and Louisville were his first offers, Beard was on him, etc...So the not being recruited by old staff is BS.

Kid is just Bama all the way, maybe a big season helps, but he's wanted Bama all along.

Look you can drink his bath water all you want but the fact remains that he's not coming here because our program has been a joke for a decade plus. I'm sure it's Richt's highest priority to get UM football to a level where kids like JJ don't grow up with a woody to play for Alabama. When that time comes we won't be losing these studs every year. We can't get them all but the current state of things is unacceptable. Cooper, Ridley and Jeudy? GTFOOH! That should never happen.

Only way to slow Bama down is if Saban retires. It's a well oiled machine. They blatantly cheat and pay kids. Just look at the player parking lot. NCAA doesn't seem to mind. The SEC will continue to recruit well down here bc SoFla will gladly accept handouts for star players. Nothing will change. Just gotta win with we can get. Hopefully we start to play the game again.

Top flight kids from LA still wanted to go put on for their city. Looking at JJ's announcement, you literally hear ppl saying "put on that Tide boy." These are So Fla residence. There's no doubt Bama is at the top of their game right now. 4 national titles in the last 7 seasons. Arguably the head coach in the business or at least the best program manager in Saban. Top notch facilities and elite infrastructure and support system. Add to that packed stadiums, content media exposure and God like status on campus for players to go along with the most influential and powerful network of boosters who operate above the law with protection from the SEC, NCAA and ESPN. Just in case that isn't enough, they take cater to their players every need. Cars, cash, nice gadgets and the like right in front of everyone's face in broad daylight to underscore the fact that they are untouchable. Protected from way up high by the Prince of Darkness himself. It's like simultaneously being in the mob and some super exclusive sports fraternity. They are a part of and represent the College Football Establishment.



UM on the other hand has it's tradition and appeal rooted in the anti-establishment of college football. If Mark Richt can elevate the functional level of the UM program to elite status we'll regain the tremendous appeal we once had amonst recruits and begin extracting the maximum benefits of our unique brand. A brand rooted in an unconventional, underdog, us against the world mentality that resonated with South Florida kids and will again. It's in the DNA of South Florida kids to want to represent their unique competition based football centric culture and in doing so run roughshod over and humiliate the establishment protected sacred cows of college football like Alabama, Notre Dame and the like. Now it's up to Richt and co. to create the conditions necessary to do just that.

Personally I am not upset he chose Bama, if that's his choice it's his right. What upsets me is the cheering in the back round for the Bama choice. Go to bama and be another guy instead of staying home and Show Out in front of your family and friends and people cheer this. I also didn't fault any kid me missed and chose another school while Golden and his buffoons were here because I knew it would cost those kids money but Miami has Richt now and a great staff.
