Monday Recruiting Chatter - 1/21

Wish we had a few good OL recruits coming in, but otherwise I'm happy with where we are. 4 biggest issues after ESD were WR, QB, OL, and DL. First two are mostly fixed, and it sounds like we have a good shot at fixing the last one. Hopefully Kennedy is a good stop gap and our young guys start to develop for the future

I'm curious who is telling you the UCLA dt reasons for comfort? Cause unless the " city " hes talking about is Westwood or Beverly Hills than hes clueless. I've heard chip doesn't even let them take that hour plus trip to downtown La. The other good one is bogles mother's comfort with us OH & tb being such a close family friend and factor with mar. Bogles mother was on record as loving us less than a year ago then she started seeing that sec "interest". Far as mar goes tb wasn't even targeting him as a rb target primarily till several months ago.

Honestly I just dont think we want him that bad and he knows it. We have been reluctant with him playing running back from the start.

And also, IMHO, he never really liked the idea of following the same path of his brother.

could we really lose MAR!!!!!!!!! thats crazy to me!!!!!!!!!!! i understood when coach Richt was here and with our offense sucked but now with the offseason changes come on man

I think if he wanted to be a DB we'd be set. If he wants RB and we don't want to use a spot there, going separate ways makes the most sense

What’s the plan at CB if Williams doesn’t come on board?

ELAM is a longshot and they legit have had NO ONE come up or no new offers...so whats the contigency plan to Williams?

Like they are doing at QB, i would be "EVALUATING" and offering another cb prospect...if not we are back int he portal for the 5th time at cb lol

one thing that blew me away was asante being a two star on sites, he looks fast on tape.

He got 4 star film thats for sure...that kid aint no 2 star. He looks wayyy better than most of the lbs we were after

people have told me they know first hand she has been pushing bama for over a year because of money.
with his injuries issues, cant blame her.

I only blame the NCAA, I do not blame parents, although I think their message to their kid is wrong that you can be bought and inevitably sold.

I've been over the Bogle debacle and I'm not saying people are wrong about the bags... but at some point, maybe Mama just wants her son to win, be well coached & go to the NFL. Miami isn't on the same planet for those 3 requirements. Education is secondary (sadly) for many families

My thoughts too. No doubt Bama boosters definitely play a role in a lot of their recruiting. But at the same time they're like the Patriots. Doesn't really matter who the position coaches or coordinators are, he finds a way to get sh*t done with undrafted rookies and cheap free agent signings.

Who said we are running an offense like the chiefs? I missed that.

Dan Enos said we will run a "spread coast" offense which is similar to what the Chiefs run.

Bama is not offering bags for Bogle. Tenn maybe a player with that...but Bama doesnt have to throw bags for a 200-210 OLB in their system that begged them for an offer.

Why wouldnt they? They are still on scholarship just doesnt count towards the class.

I meant it in terms of the system. It doesn't matter who the position coaches or coordinators are, they'll still find a way to get recruits to commit. It's the system (and probably money) that they're committing to most of the time. Not the specific coach.
