That class would be un-freaking-believable. Hope that's near where we end up.

If we have a decent 8+-win season, I also think we'll steal some kids at the very end of the cycle no one even knows we're talking to. Teams are going to implode, coaches are going to transfer, NIL deals are going to fall through. Mario never stops communicating. We'll get a couple surprises.

edit: I came to 280 on the class calculator with Franklin, Edwards and Knight (i.e., not including Breland, Rudolph and Howard). That's enough to place us 8th or 9th in 2023 (we were #7 at 284), 6th in 2022 and 8th or 9th in 2021.

Seems to be a middle ground. Appreciate plugging it in. Not slurping, not moping.

Unless we have a disastrous season (which I pray doesn’t happen) this should be the landing spot yearly for 7-9 wins.

For sure. But I personally believe our biggest failure as a program has been not following up one strong class with another, and then another. We're always gapped somewhere, and then injuries ruin our season.

Put it this way, the difference between the team as a whole right now vs 1 year ago is night and day. Imagine how much better we'll be than our ACC competition going into 2024 if we close with this type of well-rounded class, which is achievable but still very tough slogging, then follow it up with another round of portal acquisitions (e.g., at QB and probably DT and S)? We will finally be a team loaded with talent, especially relative to the opponents we face.

This seems much more likely...I hope...anything less than what you listed would feel like a major disappointment with all the hype that was being pumped once again by those apparently in the know

My class would have 29 total commits with 16 already committed(Counting Plazz) and 13 uncommitted prospects that Miami is in play for. The class total points would be 311.10 which would be 3rd best in 2023 and 4th best in 2022. I think we could also add another QB. WR, DL. LB and DB to the class as well.

Good try but i dont see JJ, Stone nor Ellis in it and i would add another TE, whether Mitchell, Odom or Galloway. I think 1 of those will be in the class. Hopefully Mitchell. There are some other variables but this is all predicated on us looking good on the field as well
