Missouri vs Auburn: SEC Championship thread

Mizzou should rethink all this disruptiveness on D. Sure, they've caused some game-changing turnovers and just scored a defensive TD, but.....they might give up the big play at any time. Keep everything in front of you, that's my motto.

***** Gus Malzahn and his gimmick football. This guy will never win a Championship and has just been lucky this year. Time will prove my statements true. Auburn does have the duffle bags though which will always provide the talent.

how the **** did miami, fsu, and uf not recruit mason out of park vista, fl .. hes balling right now for auburn

Missouri is doing a great impersonation of our defense right. It maybe better than the real thing.......
280 rushing yards in the first half.

Wow, what a misinformed post... Malzahn has won everywhere he has ever coached. He's already won a championship as Auburn's offensive coordinator.

His offense is not a gimmick. It is a veer/wishbone/option read offense except that it is run out of a shotgun formation. But the great thing about Malzahn is he adapts his offense to his personnel. He didn't run this style of offense when he had more of a pocket passer as a QB.

smdh only Miami fans. Complain about defense, but covet a coach who gives zero ***** about defense. Gus has been winning this year by OUTSCORING people his defense is just as bad as Miami's lol

LOL at winning everywhere he's been. Dude was a high school coach the majority of his life. Didn't exactly see Div 1 programs knocking his door down when he took the Ark ST head coaching job. His offense is a **** gimmick as well. Cam Newton can make almost any offensive coordinator look elite. Let's just see in 5 years who's right chief.

Yes, he has won and his offense has been highly effective at every place he has been while coaching at the college level. Here is his record coaching:

2006 Arkansas OC 10-4
2007 Tulsa OC 10-4
2008 Tulsa OC 11-3
2009 Auburn OC 8-5
2010 Auburn OC 14-0
2011 Auburn OC 8-5
2012 Arkansas St Head Coach 9-3

Very successful indeed. Some more about his offenses if you still doubt: Two of Malzahn's first three collegiate offenses ranked in the top 10 nationally in rushing, including the 2008 Tulsa team and 2006 Arkansas squad. Tulsa's offense in 2007 established nine team school records and 12 individual records. The 2008 Tulsa offense averaged 569.9 yards per game and was second nationally averaging 47.2 points per games. Malzahn's arrival at Auburn 2009 and style of offense marked a drastic turnaround from the 2008 season when Auburn struggled offensively. In a two-year period, the Tigers improved from a tie for 110th to seventh in the nation in scoring offense (from 17.3 to 41.2) and from 104th to seventh in total offense. It also took Auburn just six games in 2009 to score more points than it did in all 12 games in 2008. Malzahn's ASU offense was in the top 25 nationally in nearly every offensive category entering the bowl game, ranking 17th in total offense (481.8 ypg) and 21st in scoring offense (36.4 ppg) and rushing offense (217.4 ypg).

All of this above info taken straight from his bio page on the Auburn University website if you want to check yourself.

You say his offense is a gimmick, explain why.

Malzhan is one of the best offensive minds in all of football and is successful everywhere he has been. I don't have to wait five years to see who is right, his track record speaks for itself, chief.

Go Mizzou. The state of Alabama suckfest is friggin annoying. These clowns are spending half the broadcast trying to figure out how Bammer can get to the NC game. Christ.

that might be the most scumbag play i can recall, 5 yards out of bounds into the cart

I HATE even watching this ****...they are already selling the scenario of the SEC champ jumping an undefeated * or FSU, they are butt hurt that they(SEC) are not in it so trying to get there thru the back door.

Playoff system next yr wont change **** IMO...SEC based off of opinion votes..has 4 teams positions in top 10. With the right teams losing next yr with similar standings, we ,might have 2, 3 or even all 4 teams in the "playoff" from SEC. I fuggin hate that **** conference due to the clear bias. I hope and pray that their dirty **** gets exposed soon. FUG!!!!!
