If McElwain truly cared for his job, he'd be smarter to go after a real DC. Shannon ain't that guy. Expect the Defense to regress big time under his stewardship.

It'll regress period. They're losing alot on that side of the ball.

Yep, Mischumps defense recruiting saved horse teefs job this season, those guys are gone after this year..

And Shannon is only as good as his talent. He's not the McGuyver type. If his talent is subpar, he coaches subpar. He'll never be the type to coach a player up.

The 2006 Miami defense was one of his best and that one wasn't filled with Pro Bowlers or really NFL players in the front 7. Two guys in that front had any type of career in the NFL. Calais and Daryl Sharpton. NFL safeties in Meriweather and Kenny Phillips with just guys at CB.

Diaz did a great job this year with the lack of depth in the secondary and LB core but there are more NFL players on our current two-deep on D than that 2006 team.

Yeah, he did a good job that year. They had a low ppg average. Funnily enough, this is also the year that lead to the end of his HC career before it even began. The one team that truly put a whooping on us that year was Georgia Tech. Shannon was so impressed that he went out poached their OC: Patrick Nix.

We all know how that ended.

Can recruit all the studs you want, but it doesn't mean **** when the collective coaching skill of your "offensive guru" HC and his staff is on par with a hardcore **** featuring 85 year olds

He can't coach; his offense will suck. Recruit all you want. Your innovation is weak Mike.

Sources tells FootballScoop, Mike Locksley has agreed to join the Florida staff after Alabama’s playoff run. Prior to serving this season as an analyst at Alabama, Locks spent the past four seasons at Maryland as offensive coordinator.

My guess is he's a little upset that Sark came in and was immediately given the OC job instead of him, so he decided to leave. He's definitely a **** of a recruiter.

He wasn't going to stay at Alabama longer than a year anyway. He is making 45k as an offensive analyst

To the public (and IRS) he's making 45k, but like many of the players, he's making more.

What's average for the players? I guess they don't have too much deducted...do they have a 401(k)? You know, with a bagman match?
