I coached Davonte in optimist ball, He is a great kid from a great family. In case you don't know, his dad, Selwyn, was one of the guys who called Brian Bosworth in the middle of the night before the Oklahoma game.

Sel was part of 'Bennie and the Jets', tough, hard-nosed player...

Selwyn and I were at Miami at the same time. Always stuck me as a grounded cat. And he could ball.

He's a great guy and one of the most intense football coaches I've been around. His Plantation Wildcats' team has won 4-5 straight AYFL Super Bowls. They have a couple of very good players who are now at Heritage (Mark Fletcher, Blake Murphy and Demare Brown (Selwyn's other son)). Keep an eye on those kids, especially Blake Murphy, the QB.

His content is very good. He's called several commitments way before they occurred. Proof read and never suck off the enemy even when you know them.
