I was at last night's STA-Venice game. Perhaps Harley had an off night, but he had a rough night: he had a couple of drops, and didn't do much of anything out there. He was able to create some separation on a post, but the ball was under thrown.

Probably not well known, but Venice (South Sarasota County) has always had good football teams, but STA has too many horses for them to compete with. Harley gets another shot next week against Tampa Plant. Plant's locally revered QB is garbage, throws floaters and tends to get interference calls because the DB and receiver have to stop and wait for the ball. He can and will run, but he's custodial. The STA secondary will have many opportunities for int's. Plant's secondary is not fast and Burgess (USC commit) is the only real athlete. Harley should have a big day against them. Jacksonville Lee receivers came open a lot but their QB was a sand lot type. STA big in this one.
