Middle Linebacker

Would anybody be for putting Darrion Owens at middle linebacker? With Young off the team and Grace and Pinckney on the outsides that leaves Owens in a bad spot and he's a **** good player from what I've seen. Would rather get him on the field at middle linebacker than see another Golden special hit the field (Jamie Gordiner)

Shaq is the best pure MIKE backer on the team, and it isn't even close. Just wondering why youre taking him off the field? The guy is a leader too, and should start for 3 years at Miami.

That's fair enough and he may not be. To answer your question in another way, yes I think Owens could easily move to middle linebacker. I actually think that is the most likely scenario if Shaq gets hurt. In that event Pinckney would take the spot at will and Owens would move over to mike. The only way Gordinier starts at Mike is if Shaq and Owens are out IMO.

Don't really understand all the garbage being piled on Gordinier...Coaches had him running with the 1st team in the spring and after all he is a Cane...

Didn't say anything about him being better than Owens. Actually I was one of the very few who said Owens would start if healthy over Pinckney at WLB. Not hurting my feelings at all, you just have no actual reasoning to back up your claims that Gordinier is a player or not "little guy".

Didn't say anything about him being better than Owens. Actually I was one of the very few who said Owens would start if healthy over Pinckney at WLB. Not hurting my feelings at all, you just have no actual reasoning to back up your claims that Gordinier is a player or not "little guy".
