Michael Harley WR/Aquinas

Who started this goofy "he'll do well at WVU but he couldn't do well here" schtick? Either he can get open and catch the football at and FBS level, or he can't. If UM coaches couldn't find a way to get big production out of a guy like Tavon Austin, then they suck.

I believe you mean "who started this STICK". Because Sticks did. Even though I wanted him here.

IMHO...this is a major mistake by this staff/ We need to get Mike Harley, elite footwork for a kid his age.

ALL THE MAJOR schools in the country recruit STA, most certainly the top 25, they all cant be wrong. If he puts up some good numbers this year, he'll be able to upgrade.

Talented kid but I can see a spread team valuing him more than a pro-style team. If anything WVU is the best route. That or somewhere like Bowling Green. Good ball player.

UCF

They're gonn be pretty **** good soon.

Yea both of you are right... However, lets see how good Frost does recruiting there. He left UO pretty bare after inheriting Mariota then he got lucky with Adams but he still didn't bring anyone in to replace Adams. It will be interesting seeing him run that type of offense in Florida. I think he'll have better athletes at his disposal.

There's a trend alright. WVU getting guys in the NFL: Tavon Austin, stedman bailey, Kevin white, Geno Smith, and others.

3 of those guys didnt even play in the NFL last yr lol! We will see on Kevin White but Baileys career is over and Geno's mine as well be. Tavon is a decent slot wr in the NFL ill give ya that.

Not to mention kids like Ivan McCartney that were lured up there. That work out well? Tyrek Cole balling? I just find it suspect when any South Florida kid ends up in that godforsaken state- whether it be WVU or juco at Marshall.

Well Ivan did finish hos career at WVU and Cole was getting in trouble before he left Miramar. WVU was graduating players before a couple of Miramar guys were going up there. Cole is the exception. I mean what do you expect a kid to do if that's their best offer? They'll take it.

Ohhh, I don't blame the kids at all and I don't know anything about this kid from Aquinas as I respect that school. Maybe I'm wrong but it just sets off a red flag in my head though when a higher ranked South Florida kid ends up there or obviously Marshall. I immediately assume there's a reason the kid kinda ended up there rather than really wanted to be there. Obviously Cogdell had a lot to do with getting that "pipeline" going but it still just seems like both of those West Virginia schools are somehow subject to alternate admission criteria.

I understand what you're saying but that's not always the case. Both schools run the spread and for diminutive wideouts like Harley he can make an instant impact in that offense. WVU and Marshall usually get talented kids that the big 3 don't want. That's how it work for both Geno and Bailey.

I like Harley and think he could fit a need here. He's a shrimp but he has a rare combination of pure speed, quickness and awareness.

If we think he's too small, we better replace him with a bigger fast guy. We need speed and I don't see it with our current commits and targets.

I agree we need speed we lack it . We should take one of the two we got and add a bigger faster wr

How does he compare to Isaiah McKenzie? Coach Richt took Isaiah at UGA.

WVU also took Jovon Durante out of Jackson, transfer to miramar, 24 catches, 5 TD's freshman year.

He's taller than McKenzie, more of a receiver.

McKenzie was better with the ball in his hands and a better returner. He was also exceptionally tough for his size.

I watched a ton of football in my life...all i'm saying is this, if he gets the right training in college, he could be right with his footwork like Leonard Conley IMHO. I watched this kid play and was like man he's on point. L. Conley was only 5'8'' and was hard to tackle most of the time.

I like Rodney Scott but I would preferably take a Greene or Harley before him.

Pro-style and slow WRs. Doesn't make sense when Miami is located in SFla.
