Was UM recruiting him? Supposedly a 4* now says he's committing to WVU.

No, staff thought he was too small. They don't think Sean Savoy isn't for some reason though

Committing to WVU is usually a tell tale sign for grades issues though.... Not that I know anything. I just know how these things have gone in the past.

They are probably going to evaluate him in pads not rely on his 7 on 7 performance. That's the only reason he's currently a 4 star. He may get an offer, he may not.

I think he's way over blown but if we need speed he's there to take if he's not a grades casualty

His route running looks unbelievably smooth in 7 on 7, but you're right, he might not have the same impact with pads on and a safety looking to knock his head off.

Harley is a nice high school player and looks great in camp settings, but ultimately Miami believes he wasn't a perfect fit for their pro-style offense with his slight frame.

He will do well at WVU

Talented kid but I can see a spread team valuing him more than a pro-style team. If anything WVU is the best route. That or somewhere like Bowling Green. Good ball player.

Doing "well" at WVU also involves actually staying on the team there- something South Florida kids have had problems with and possibly a reason why they ended up in freakin' Morgantown to begin with. I know nothing about this kid personally to make any judgments but there is a trend here involving WVU.

There's a trend alright. WVU getting guys in the NFL: Tavon Austin, stedman bailey, Kevin white, Geno Smith, and others.

3 of those guys didnt even play in the NFL last yr lol! We will see on Kevin White but Baileys career is over and Geno's mine as well be. Tavon is a decent slot wr in the NFL ill give ya that.

Who started this goofy "he'll do well at WVU but he couldn't do well here" schtick? Either he can get open and catch the football at and FBS level, or he can't. If UM coaches couldn't find a way to get big production out of a guy like Tavon Austin, then they suck.

Not to mention kids like Ivan McCartney that were lured up there. That work out well? Tyrek Cole balling? I just find it suspect when any South Florida kid ends up in that godforsaken state- whether it be WVU or juco at Marshall.

Yea south Florida kids tend to do well either their or Marshall. Sounds like the kid would've been here if the staff wanted him. I don't think it has anything to do with grades or attitude. He went to the best program for him.

Well Ivan did finish hos career at WVU and Cole was getting in trouble before he left Miramar. WVU was graduating players before a couple of Miramar guys were going up there. Cole is the exception. I mean what do you expect a kid to do if that's their best offer? They'll take it.

Ohhh, I don't blame the kids at all and I don't know anything about this kid from Aquinas as I respect that school. Maybe I'm wrong but it just sets off a red flag in my head though when a higher ranked South Florida kid ends up there or obviously Marshall. I immediately assume there's a reason the kid kinda ended up there rather than really wanted to be there. Obviously Cogdell had a lot to do with getting that "pipeline" going but it still just seems like both of those West Virginia schools are somehow subject to alternate admission criteria.

UCF

UCF, good call. I really like the idea of a Oregon style offence in the speed state. I'm a USF grad, but would love to see them bring the Florida little guy speed to mid level BCS football

IMHO...this is a major mistake by this staff/ We need to get Mike Harley, elite footwork for a kid his age.

Boy is this freaking stupid
