I know Barrow has been criticized by some, but IMO he's been very important to this program. He's a great local figure, legendary Cane, great NFL player, great recruiter, respected by most everyone and a religious person who can relate to many kids and their parents better than some of our other staff. Losing him would concern me.

Barrow's a great guy and a good recruiter. Not sure how good of a technical football coach he was. Our LBs never really stood out as a group under his tutelage.

If it's burn out, then I applaud him for being a man and stepping down because burn out/distraction would rob him of his greatest benefit to the team--his recruiting energy.

Hopefully, he didn't get Joker'd.

Barrow was the only coach Golden kept on the staff from the Shannon regime besides Swasey. That says a lot to me.
