I wouldn’t take RB over OL

Our WR recruiting is completely underwhelming.

QB, WR, and OL are 3 of the 4 most important position groups in the sport. If we land Samson, we’ll have the best OL class in the country and we’ll be well on our way to fortifying a unit that’s been an albatross for us for decades.

QB and WR, on the other hand, are glaring weaknesses in the class right now compared to other premier recruiting programs. WR is undeniably a Top 3 most important position in today’s game AND it’s our weakest position group, so the situation there is a big issue.

We all love Joseph and Washington, so that’s certainly not a knock on them. But for all the recent discussion about Mario recruiting body types, we currently have just 2 slot-sized WRs committed and a host of misses on premier outside targets.

Thankfully there’s still time to flip a couple studs and Mario’s one of the highest-paid coaches in the country for this very reason. Gotta close strong here.
