Miami's cornerback situation

So what happened with Edwards.

That list is depressing.

Coaches told him they prefer him at S... he wants to play CB bad..but nobody is offering him at CB....we need depth..so adding 2 or 3 3star CBs wont hurt..also can develop them

he doesnt play s..and has lined up at cb for the last 3 years...He's a cb until proven otherwise..i dont even know why its a question..he has safety potential..but doesnt even line up there at Miramar much

"I'm planning to visit BYU on Nov. 9 and then Syracuse in December and Louisville in December for sure. I'm also going to visit Colorado," Edwards said. "Miami is still in the picture.

FOH, Im calling it now, I know it rarely happens but 50% chance Edwards signs with Miami.

BYU, Syracuse, and Colorado can f*ck right off.

Syracuse a minor threat... he was all set to commit to them at one point, but Miami came calling..dont take that Cuse visit lightly

Coach Macho says their D staff is horrid (his boy plays CB for them). That might help us in the long run.

Louisville, Kentucky & Florida are the schools after him the most...

If he doesn't sign with Miami, it will be one of those 3.

OK Florida and Louisville obvious concerns then.

Good for him. I just want us to find some fast guys we can develop...

Here is a 2017 safety from Birni's school Mater that is listed at 6-2 and 185. He is a hard hitter and is the fastest guy at 400m on the track team running just over 50 seconds. In head-to-head competition beat Demitrius Ivey who we have offered. Again probably plan B types but worth a look.

It is truly unimaginable that a team located in S Florida can't land quality DBs every year, pathetic

Well they do some horrid stuff IMO, but that doesn't mean they can't pull kids. (kids don't know any better)

Not really a fan of what they do on defense and/or the way they're treating my boy.

What are we doing wrong that makes these kids SoFl kids drop us so regularly? A commitment to The U means nothing anymore! If we lose another game and look like crap again, then I'm concerned about our class. This ***** getting old!

This a deep year for corner down here, as usual.

In addition to Antwan Collier, I hope we are monitoring Joshua Turner (Iowa commit) and Jarques McClellion (Arkansas commit), who play together at American Heritage Delray. Turner is a college-ready corner and McClellion has a very interesting size/athleticism combo at S or CB.

I also love the footwork and movement skill of Traivon Leonard at Oxbridge (UNC commit).

D$, in your opinion who are the top CBs and Safeties in Sofla this year?

Are we recruiting the right guys?

I think we're recruiting the top players. Some guys like Stanford Samuels III and Daniel Wright just chose go elsewhere.

It's crazy to me that Top 25 programs like Iowa, Arkansas and UNC have guys committed from down here that we've never even talked about on these boards. Just crazy depth. Personally, I'd start looking at anyone down here holding an Iowa/Michigan State offer. Those schools always have good secondaries and physical defenses. We need at least one boundary corner (someone to replace Edwards and hopefully make Redwine a backup) and then another flat out cover guy (hopefully replace Henderson with himself).
