UPDATE:

With the possibility of Miramar cornerback Brian Edwards not being in this class, the Canes now have to turn their attention else where. Miami currently only has one cornerback committed in the 2017 class, which is Miami Columbus CB Trajan Bandy. Bandy is a very good cornerback, but Miami needs to add depth and especially height in the secondary. I'm going to give you an update on where Miami stands with some of their cornerback prospect.
Miami Columbus CB Chris Henderson
Decommitted: 08/03/16
HUDL: C.J. Henderson - Hudl
Henderson decommitted from Miami this month, but that shouldn't scare Miami fans. This will come down to a Miami vs Florida battle. Henderson recently released a top five which included: Miami, Florida, Tennessee, Georgia and Auburn. Miami is in good position to regain his commitment, he's taking his official visit to Miami one week before NSD, so the Canes are in good position.
Possibility of being in this class: 60%
Mater Academy CB Latavious Brini
HUDL: Junior Season Highlights - Latavious Brini highlights - Hudl
Brini recently decommitted from Georgia, and the Canes have been trending for him. With Brian Edwards recent decommitment, Miami needs to go on a full court press for Brini and lock his commitment up. It will be a Miami vs Georgia battle till the end.
Possibility of being in this class: 80%
Miami Southridge CB Antwan Coller
HUDL: Antwan Collier - Hudl
Collier is committed to Illinois, but with the Brian Edwards no longer with this class, Miami will likely offer him and turn the heat up in his recruitment. I could see a Sheldrick Redwine situation where he drops Illinois and joins the Hurricanes class. Collier hasn't played much cornerback in his high school career, he was the starting quarterback at Miami Killian while he attended the school.
Possibility of being in this class: 70%
Players to keep an eye on
- American Heritage CB Marco Wilson (UM/UF Legacy)
Possibility of being in this class: 15%
- Grayson HS CB DeAngelo Gibbs
Possibility of being in this class: 5%
- Miramar HS CB Brian Edwards
Possibility of being in this class: 25%
- Miami Southridge CB Shawn Davis
Possibility of being in this class: 15%
