Miami will get in the playoffs (here’s why)

Disagree. The worst matchup for us is a good passing offense.

I’m not saying we’d shut down Notre Dame, or even slow them down. We likely wouldn’t. But we can’t cover ANYONE. An accurate QB with good weapons will do exactly what McCord did. First read is open, ball is out, completion. Every single time. We might be able to make ND actually work for it.

The only playoff caliber team we’re slowing down enough to beat is one with a QB who will miss an open receiver from time to time, and/or one with receivers who will drop the ball. I trust ND and Penn State to be that type of team more than anyone else. Oregon, for example, would score 60 on us. I don’t think ND or Pedo State would.

Riley Williams runs alot. He chooses to run rather than pass many times..
 
I just hope we are still having this discussion after tonight who we are potentially playing but I am not feeling all that great that the committee will actually pick us for the last spot. I hope I am dead wrong. This Cuse lost took a lot out of me. I can't imagine how the players feel.
 
Just recognize they are going to give Bama that last spot and whether fair or not we ceded any control because we can’t compete in the ACC.

I just saw/read where Heather Dinich predicted yesterday that Miami will indeed sneak into the playoff over Bama. Typically, she’s a talking head for the committee so this gives me hope.

Media biased be damned, Bama had 2 nasty losses vs Vandy and a double-digit loss vs OKL.
