Miami will get in the playoffs (here’s why)

if we are going by the eye ball test, SC should be the pick. They’d beat Alabama in a rematch.
Alabama getting in over Miami and SC and Ole Miss after they got humiliated 24-3 to a team with a losing record just 2 weeks ago? Not a good look at all.

I hope this committee is built different though and give us a shot.

But where’s the ACC commissioner on ESPN touting the virtues of Miami and a 2 bid ACC?
Instead Dabo and Rhett are doing it.

I actually feel differently. It might be crazy, but if Clemson wins theres a case for 3 ACC teams, and if SMU wins we should be the 2nd ACC team.

The most important question is going to be about our terrible defense.

But what hapopened with GT and UGA is fuel for our fire.
I agree with you regarding GT bumping up Miami's argument, but I just don't see Miami getting in. I think the following teams are getting in no matter what happens next week in championship games:

Oregon
Texas
Penn State
Notre Dame
Tennessee
Georgia
Boise State/UNLV winner
Arizona State/Iowa State winner
SMU
Indiana
Ohio State

Last spot - Clemson if they win, Miami if Clemson loses

Honestly, that should be spot on.

But they'll find a way to get another cash cow team in from the SEC.

If SMU is smart …. They let Clemson win …that way they keep Miami out … while both SMU and Clemson still get in.

The funny thing is, if Clemson wins, the ACC champ may not even get a bye. Arizona St. and Boise State could both be ranked ahead of Clemson.

Al Golden’s revenge in 25-degree snowy weather with Riley Leonard breaking every Notre Dame single-game passing record?

No thanks.
I’ve been to all but 1 ND home game. Riley Leonard is steadily improving but is not a great passing QB. He is not a guy that gets the ball out quickly and is not super accurate. He averages less than half the passing yards per game of McCord. Our defense is horrible, so it’s difficult to envision it stopping anyone, but Leonard is no McCord (and ND’s receivers are solid but not phenomenal).

Love would probably feast on our misaligned fronts and ND’s special teams are pretty solid (except their kicker is really struggling). D has been good but USC was able to put up points against it. Overall I think ND would be one of the better matchups for UM of the playoff teams.

Cam Ward. This offense. Catholics vs. Convicts at South Bend.
The Narratives write themselves.
This is a Money Tree for ESPN and its owner, ABC. In fact, the game will be Prime Time ABC, not ESPN. 8 pm kick.
Write this down and see if I'm not right.
Just to make sure, Terry Porter to officiate the Clemson-SMU game to make sure that SMU gets across the goal line.
Poor Dabo. So close to Ten Wins, so far from God.
Finally, a poster with some balls.

Bookmarked.

Thankfully lashlee and Dabo are lobbying for us over a 9-3 SEC team.
Will they are lobbying for the league. They look like team players. Better perception of the league gives everybody (most importantly, him) a better chance of getting in. Blah blah blah.

Though it would be nice if Mario lobbied

Agree with this logic. Also we start with ND next year. Great narrative. Country is tired of bama

Miami deserves to be in over Alabama, and I don't think Miami deserves to be in. How do you put in a team that has two losses to 6-6 teams, one of which blew them out?

The crazy thing is I genuinely don't think Bama, Ole Miss, or USCe deserve to be in over Miami. Ole Miss has one more loss than us, lost to a team we throttled, and lost to a 4-8 team. USCe has one more loss than us, had a blowout loss against Ole Miss, and their signature win is Clemson. I mean, nothing jumps out at me that says, "these teams obviously deserve to be in over Miami".

None of us deserve it.

They would run the ball for 400 yards and their defense is very good at all 3 levels. Might be the worst matchup for us.
