Miami will get in the playoffs (here’s why)

You’re joking here, right?

The committee doesn’t go off perception?

Seriously?

Not this iteration.

You realize they ranked Miami (6th) higher than UGA (7th) last week, correct? They’ve more than given us the benefit of the doubt to this point. I still don’t think they do tomorrow, but it will be a very hotly debated topic in the room. There are clearly folks in there who think highly of miami.

Cam Ward. This offense. Catholics vs. Convicts at South Bend.

This is a Money Tree for ESPN and its owner, ABC. In fact, the game will be Prime Time ABC, not ESPN. 8 pm kick.
Write this down and see if I'm not right.
Just to make sure, Terry Porter to officiate the Clemson-SMU game to make sure that SMU gets across the goal line.
Poor Dabo. So close to Ten Wins, so far from God.

Saban-less Bama loses TWO games where they’re 20 point favorites and gonna get in over Miami.

Nasty work, but hit the portal hard and close one signing day, I suppose.

I don’t even know if I could stomach more missed tackles from 0,1, and 7 anyway.

South Carolina gets in before Miami Bama Ole ****
if we are going by the eye ball test, SC should be the pick. They’d beat Alabama in a rematch.
Alabama getting in over Miami and SC and Ole Miss after they got humiliated 24-3 to a team with a losing record just 2 weeks ago? Not a good look at all.

I hope this committee is built different though and give us a shot.

But where’s the ACC commissioner on ESPN touting the virtues of Miami and a 2 bid ACC?

Betting markets say not happening. And they aren’t usually wrong. Bama slides in if SMU loses

What? The Brazzers Bang Bus Bowl in beautiful suburban Chatsworth, California (the **** Capitol of the United States) against San Diego State University doesn't appeal to your instincts as a Canes Fan?
I love your optimistic view that we'd get such a prestigious bowl game.

South Carolina lost to both Alabama and Ole Miss on the field. The committee will 100% take that into consideration.

If SMU beats Clemson, Miami absolutely should be in with only two losses by small margins. We dominated our SEC opponent (when they were at full strength) like no other SEC team did.

None of the three losses teams deserve to be in the CFP. Unfortunately, the world isn’t fair so I’m concerned we would get shafted.

Well if bama is ahead of us tomorrow then im rooting for clemson hard man **** bama tired of everybody bowing down to them . **** they prob jump smu if clemson wins 🤣

There is 1 spot left. It’s between Miami, Bama, SC, Ole Miss, and SMU if they lose. The only way we possibly sneak in is if SMU wins and the committee re-ranks the teams and the only way they can sort it out is to put the 2 loss Miami in.

All things being equal, if SMU wins, Miami SHOULD be in. However, I have full expectation that Clemson will beat SMU as SMU may not be ready for primetime just yet and more importantly, that would be typical Miami luck (although well deserved since all they needed to do was beat Cuse).

If SMU should win, don't be surprised to see the shiv get stuck in the back and a 3 loss SEC team make it ahead of Miami. If that does happen, college football will officially have gone over the edge. At that point, just quit playing the games because they don't matter.
I actually feel differently. It might be crazy, but if Clemson wins theres a case for 3 ACC teams, and if SMU wins we should be the 2nd ACC team.

The most important question is going to be about our terrible defense.

But what happened with GT and UGA is fuel for our fire.

UGA lost to Ole Miss the same day Miami lost to GT. It made sense to rank Miami ahead after the big bounce back blowout of Wake, especially since Georgia had two losses to Miami’s one loss. But that’s all gone now.

My point is that there is so much subjectivity going on in the committee’s process. Don’t expect any kind of rational consistency.

Al Golden’s revenge in 25-degree snowy weather with Riley Leonard breaking every Notre Dame single-game passing record?

No thanks.
