Whether anyone likes it or not, Miami will get in to the playoff. They’re number six in the BCS standings and the most they will drop is six spots. Leaving them at number 12….. Whether you think they deserve it or not, or if you want them there or not I think that’s what’s gonna happen….

You are missing something. Both South Carolina and Alabama had nice wins and we will get passed by one or both. We also need SMU to win, which was perviously stated.
Both Gamecocks and Bama had game where they lost by three scores and scored 3 pts. If im in the committee I want to see the number 1 offense in the country and a Heisman finalist over a chance at that crap.

All things being equal, if SMU wins, Miami SHOULD be in. However, I have full expectation that Clemson will beat SMU as SMU may not be ready for primetime just yet and more importantly, that would be typical Miami luck (although well deserved since all they needed to do was beat Cuse).

If SMU should win, don't be surprised to see the shiv get stuck in the back and a 3 loss SEC team make it ahead of Miami. If that does happen, college football will officially have gone over the edge. At that point, just quit playing the games because they don't matter.

Would be great but my money is on Bama or South Carolina for that last spot.

We will know tomorrow night. Ranked ahead of the 3 loss sec teams and we are in with SMU win. If ranked below any of them then we are done

And if that is the case, my interest in college football will dramatically fall. It was already on the way down, but when losses only matter in the ACC and Big XII, but not in the SEC and B1G, just shut it down. Let the 2 big boys just officially break off and have their own "championship".

I can handle a 10-3 team who lost in their championship game getting in over a 10-2 team because they at least won the same number of games, but a 9-3 team getting in over a 10-2 team? BS

Unless they put a Big12 team in the top 12 tomorrow night, the number 12 team is the first team out. We would need to be 11.

What you are missing is that Jalen Milroe is A$$. Even with a 5 star OL, he's thrown 4 INTs and 0 TDs in his last 4 games. Also, Bama lost 24-3, to a bad Oklahoma team 2 weeks ago.

SC will not get in with 3 losses due to a very bad loss to a bad Oklahoma team.

In either case, Miami gets in due to only 2 losses that came down to their last possession, and both to pretty good ACC teams on the road.

Everybody is already accounting for a big 12 team when they say there’s only one spot left
