"They said they like me at quarterback, but they say they wanna see me work at reveiver too.”
This = You're going to play receiver from the minute you step on campus
And this is something that we can not afford to do with any local kids, but Bama can do this with south FL recruits.
If we brought him in telling him the whole time that he will play QB here then switch him to Safety it would blow up locally and cause future problems in recruiting b/c we lied.
Bama on the other hand can lie to this kid, his parents, his coaches and tell him he will be a QB, "we just want to see how good of a WR you might be just for kicks". It won't get blown up like it would here and you all know that. Just look at how that BS at BTW blew up last recruiting cycle with us.
The kid should look to both the Denard Robinson and Anquan Boldin examples.
Denard Robinson was an amazing ATH with average QB skills, but was dead set on playing QB. He was taken by the Jaguars to play WR not QB and for a lot less than he could have made if he would have decided to play WR in college.

Anquan Boldin was a monster QB at Pahokee and was actually lied to by Bobby Bowden and was told that he would be a QB at FSU and was a WR his whole career, and has had a very successful NFL career at WR b/c of his experience perfecting his WR skills in college. (In this example, Bowden is like Saban, just telling the recruit what he wants to hear just to land them and do whatever they want with them once they are on campus)
Miami is just being honest with Flowers, he should respect that and think really hard about how the possibilities switching positions now could help him in the future.
I can almost guarantee Flowers will not be a QB in the NFL, so he could play QB in college and have fun, and when draft time comes along, he is going to have to change positions to WR or DB and chance being taken in the 4th or 5th round if he is lucky.
Where if he would have played DB or WR in college he has a chance to be taken in the 1st - 3rd round with his athleticism and playmaking ability. IMO this kid along with Treon Harris are ******** themselves out of possible millions of $$$$$ in the future by being so adamant on staying at QB even though neither is over 5'11.
