Miami vs. Savannah State (2013

I have no problem playing easier OOC schedules, I just don't like I-AA teams. I'd rather another Sun Belt or C-USA team.

This. It's just borderline useless to risk injuries by playing teams like Bethune or worse, Savannah St., but whatever

Never understood this argument about risking injury. You have to play 12 games either way. Why is playing Savannah St a bigger injury risk than a D-1 team? Wouldn't it be less of a risk? (starters out by halftime, opponent is weak, etc)

Fans need to get it out of their head that this is 1985...we are at a different place in the program and times are different. A Top 5 Florida team is more than enough next year

Not when you play in the ACC.

sick.

i'm gonna go try out for the team and hopefully get some minutes for that game

lol

Perfect, I don't hear anybody saying well "Miami did pretty well this year considering they played ND and K St. OOC".
Oh and LOL at all the articles last week talking about poor FSU having to suffer in the pitiful ACC, Miami would have beaten them last night IMO.
FSU is the tallest midget right now.
Yup. At the end of the day, no one gives a **** about schedule. We are still 7-5, mediocre Miami in everyone's eyes, with zero acknowledgement given to our schedule.

maybe later in the future when the team is legit and can handle the schedule we played this year. right now with a team working its way up an easier schedule can only benefit us and our confidence. you cant keep getting shellacked by teams when your not ready like we did this year on the road (ND, KSU). it takes a toll on player confidence. we need to build momentum.

We only played 3 hard teams this year... Our schedule wasn't that hard... ND,KSU and FSU pretty much make it competitive, but thats all... Oh well I mean we played BCU so this shouldnt be any different...

Uf is going to be ranked in the top 3 when we play them. That alone makes our OOC scheduling more difficult then almost anyone.

Sooo. Next year's schedule:

8/31 FLORIDA ATLANTIC
9/7 FLORIDA
SAVANNAH STATE
GEORGIA TECH
VIRGINIA
DUKE
PITT OR WAKE FOREST*

10/12 or 10/19? @Florida State
@Virginia Tech
@North Carolina
@Pitt or NC State*
11/30 @USF

*will play @NC State or home against Wake Forest, but not both.

i would think NCSU since they came here this year

Its a glorified scrimmage is all. I'm not saying let's stack up with USC and Alabama but **** give us something more than Savannah St.

That's all. Not making a huge gripe about it but let's at least play someone worth taking the field against.

i assume they will try to fit this game in before the stretch of vt, fsu, unc comes along or after UF. its a welcome break depending on when they schedule it. it should be a half time game and basically a bye week
