With Lopez being out and Batista I think hurt, Ruiz is getting the start at SS, Michaelangeli at 2B, and then Crocitto at DH.

Gator series next weekend will tell the whole story for this season.

Why do our fans always do this? It's a 60 game season and that's probably the best team we'll face the whole time.

UF has completely dominated us and/or officially ended our season for 7 years in a row. It's not a one year slump. It's 7 years in a row of being outclassed and often outright embarrassed by one of our biggest rivals. And our performance against FSU over the past 7 years hasn't been much better, although they haven't been the ones to actually end our seasons. Until we start beating UF and FSU again, we aren't going to be competing for championships. That's the measuring stick. So sure 60 game season, but a couple of series out of those 60 games are telling.

Canes got the sweep today 8-1. Starting pitching was dominant the whole weekend and bullpen was solid. Ruiz with a big day today. Rutgers not the greatest but we did what we were suppose to. Lepore pitching midweek and then we got UF at home. Go Canes.

By this time next week we will know if this year's squad are contenders or pretenders. Considering we are playing a UF team that embarrassed us in Omaha, ended our season, and is now better than last year, I'm not terribly optimistic.
