If they’ve committed 8 fouls like the graphic says, how is this our third time shooting one and one?

Watched the replay after the fact. Wong is still a stud and and Kam will get his. There were a couple short sequences where Sam played really well too... especially a sequence early in the second half where he had a big dunk, a couple boards, an assist, and a nice defensive play. But really that was only a handful of minutes in the entire game where he was making assertive contributions. And I can't really think of anyone else who played well enough to write about. Moore scored 16 and hit a couple threes, which we desperately need consistently, but his overall game wasn't great.

The overall lack of rebounding and defense from the front court is going to stop us from winning more than a couple games in conference. I guess we need Walker to all of a sudden "get it" so he can play real minutes and be a presence. Not likely. The lack of secondary contributions in general is also going to kill us in conference. The bench combined for a total of 1 board and 1 assist with 0 points. It's almost impressive that you can't accidentally come down with more boards than that. We're also really lucky that Perry kid missed a bunch of FTs down the stretch. The Moore turnover in the last minute and the Wong foul on the three pointer were bonehead mistakes that a good team will punish.

Better effort today against a mediocre team. But at least they looked like they cared. Dayton upsetting Kansas makes yesterday make less putrid but not by much. We played badly even if Dayton is better than advertised. It's stunning how little there is outside Wong and Kam and an occasional run from Moore. Sam, Walker, and Beverly have all digressed offensively. Rodney and Gak are apparently unplayable. Kind of reminiscent of the football team honestly.
