Miami vs. Louisville officially SOLD OUT

You do realize don't you the capacity is only 5k less than Hard Rock? You're going to find that even with it being a 12 kick, the noise level is quite deafening in there (fan of both Louisville and Miami). Like Hard Rock, it's all chairback seating. So the footprint of the stadium would hold close to 80k if it was all bleacher seating like cough cough Clemson for example. View attachment 307557

Yes, I’m very aware of the capacity of Hard Rock. The roof at Hard Rock is what adds to the acoustics of a 65k or so capacity.

There are a lot of aftermarket tickets still available right now for $17 or so. That suggests that there could be quite a few empty seats in the upper deck.

Since they expanded the stadium capacity to its current level in 2010, yes.

I don't know the entire history of prior Louisville stadiums, but for this current stadium, they have not been able to sell it out since expanding it.
No

Third sellout since 2023 and the first for an Atlantic Coast Conference contest since 2017.

That is not correct. The 2010 season was the expansion completion of 55,000. It underwent another expansion adding almost 5k more seats in the North endzone and that one was completed in 2019. There have been multiple sellouts in the previous capacities of 44k (when first opened) and the 55k. But this is one of the few sell outs in the last 5 years at the new capacity of 59k plus thanks to Covid and almost as miserable....Satterfield who now is destroying the Cincinnati program as we speak
2014 Labor Day night against Miami was also a sellout

3rd sellout in last 2 years

But this is their first sellout against ACC opponent since 2017

Agree on both points. That roof helps definitely. And Louisville has a no show problem so there will be empty seats/rows from any secondary market tickets that don't get "re sold" LOL. But with that being said, I've been in games at L&N where the upper deck wasn't even half full and it was so loud in the lower bowl that you can't carry on a conversation with the person beside you. Filling in that North endzone really has helped trap the noise in and down onto the field. If you watched the Louisville/ND game last year you saw how hard it was for ND on Offense.
