In today's college football everyone has talent...when you have a coaching staff THIS bad it's a huge disadvantage.

Petrino's team isn't as talented as ours....and he's beating us in his first game there.

Fact. Golden has all the great qualities of a head coach, minus the small details like development, preparation and play calling.

It's crazy to me we never went four wide, spread them out and get playmakers in space. I understand the pressure was getting there more often than not, but it would've opened things up for the running game a lot more. That slow developing pulling G dive play just doesn't work against a fast defense. I bet we ran it ten times tonight.

It's not the OL's fault, Coley doesn't use their strengths. When they put a hat on a hat, good things happen. But he keeps trying to do running plays over and over again that don't work

We must be watching different games

Yes we must. Dukes biggest runs in the game came when the o-line put a hat on a hat. But Coley keeps calling these fancy traps and stretches that don't work. I know the OL hasn't played well, but call running plays that play to the strength of the oline.

The big TFL that kayaa had on the last drive was emblematic of this. Dobard lines up as a LT and he flares out for a pass and Kayaa rolls out to that side. Isadora faces 2 guys he has no chance at. You just don't call that against a fast and aggressive defense. Set up to fail. Kehoe and Coley have sucked.

Wait till they play against a discipline d like Nebraska or even when FSU turns up...

Good thing we don't face another team of this caliber until FSU. Still embarassing. Petrino made UL look like last year's squad with a new QB, multiple defenders drafted, etc. This looks like the same team we've seen since 2012 with a slightly better defense.
