Honestly I'm not much of a fan of either as I think they both have big holes. If I had to choose I'd say Edwards cause atleast he starts out being physical & knowing the basics to playing db already. If he fails at CB which he may he'd have a bright future at free(& at worst give us quality depth)

Alabama has four defensive backs in its 2017 class thus far, although 4-star junior college cornerback commit Jhavonte Dean isn’t likely to end up with the Tide come National Signing Day.

This weekend it will host 4-star corner Christopher Henderson (CJ) on an official visit – the only official visitor expected in Tuscaloosa.

“They just told me I’m a top priority,” Henderson told BamaOnLine ahead of his visit. “They don’t have all their DBs committed.”

“We usually just talk about how much they need me and stuff. DBs are a top priority and stuff like that.”

Mario Cristobal was Henderson’s primary recruiter for Alabama. Earlier on Friday 247Sports’ Ryan Bartow reported Cristobal would be taking over as the co-offensive coordinator at Oregon.

It’s all water under the bridge for Henderson.

“He told me he was going to see with his agents if he had better offers after the game,” Henderson said. “So I'm guessing Oregon was better for him. I can't argue with that.”

Later on Friday evening Henderson, a one-time Miami commit, is expected to arrive in Tuscaloosa.

“Looking forward to the atmosphere,” he said. “See if I feel comfortable at the school. See if I end up going there or not. Just see how it is around football season there. I’ve only been there during the summer.”

Henderson has a Top 3 of Alabama, Florida and Miami.

He will visit Gainesville, the 100 percent 247Sports Crystal Ball favorite, next week.

Henderson’s favorite part about Alabama?

“How they’ve been winning recently and how they develop their players,” he said.

At 6-foot-1, 175 pounds, Henderson is rated the No. 15 cornerback and the No. 135 overall player in the country, per the industry-generated 247Sports Composite.

He plans to announce a decision on National Signing Day.

Usually don't comment but this seems strange considering so many Bama recruits repeat that they aren't "begged" to go there. I remember Fitzpatrick, who is now their best DB, talking that way at least.

No. Can't pass on this guy. If he's got exceptional speed, then you try to get him. He might give us a major threat as a returner. I've seen this kind of thing in the past. Good recruiters will not give up if they see the slightest crack in the wall, the slightest opening, the slightest possibility to turn him. I remember hearing about how some of JJ's coaches were "grinding: on the local blue chippers, like Rudy Barber and some others.

There's always the possibility of a surprise at the end. Personally, just from what I've been reading, the chance of getting him is very low.Still gotta try.

He runs a laser timed 4.35. His speed is out of this world. Ran a 3.97 shuttle. I really want this kid on the team.

Henderson is absolutely someone we should desperately want on this team.

Speed and athleticism are the two main things we lacked during the Golden era.

As Pete said we need to start stacking chips.

Henderson has been the top target at CB all season for a reason...Glad we are going out swinging.

Next it's gonna be.....at least they got him on campus something the last staff couldn't do.... Lol

If we got Dean, Bandy, Henderson, and Edwards that would be an amazing CB haul this year.

If we just get Dean and Bandy, I still like it (Deejay would definitely need to be a cb though) because I think Dean and Bandy are starters for us. Not that its hard to beat out Henley, Michael Jackson, and Mayes.

I just don't want to load up too much on DBs this year.
Like I don't think we need to replace Billy Gibson with Paris Ford. But I understand that guy is good enough that you take him if he wants to go here.
