Cristobal talked about this game in his presser today. Record crowd at the Carrier Dome, #8 Syracuse versus #1 Miami. The Canes won a thriller, 16-10.

Rewatching the game, that front seven is leagues above any team today. Warren Sapp (#76), Darren Krein (#91), Mark Caesar (#99), Jessie Armstead (#1), Michael Barrow (#56) and Darren Smith (#1).

There are also appearances from Rohan Marley (#2), Dexter "ABC" Seigler (#34), and of course Mario Cristobal at RT and LT (#72).

This is a really cool video that cuts out everything but the plays.

That was a young rising star in warren sapp. Sapp didn't start in 1992, he backed up pat Riley I believe. That's how deep that DL was. He did make some big plays late against cuse in 1992. The only weakness the 1992 team had was its OL.

Wee me went to this game with my father and brother. Was an incredible game. Marvin Graves had to have suffered multiple concussions during this game.

Keith Smart jumper and Chris Gedney getting tackled a few yards shy of the end zone haunt everybody in Syracuse still. When I spoke to my dad about the game coming up this weekend I thought he was gonna shove the 66-13 blowout in my face, but he was still lamenting Gedney getting tackled on the last play 32 years later.

Remember the game very well-Darren Krein had a huge sack on Marvin Graves at the nine yard line-

The Bermuda Triangle with Smith,Barrow and Armstead-The best linebacking trio in UM history.

Cuse had RB Terry Richardson from Northeast HS in Fort Lauderdale, excellent TE in Chris Gedney and Rocket Ismail’s brother Quadry at WR.

I just watched the 1995 game. I forgot Syracuse had Marvin Harrison on that team, along with McNabb, Rob Konrad, Donovan Darius and Tebucky Jones. Danyell Ferguson had 163 yards before he got hurt late in the 3rd quarter. Probably would have gone for over 200.

Casey Greer with the late tackle at the two yard line

Next week I was there at Jack Murphy Stadium to see our guys play San Diego State (Marshall Faulk was held out with an injury)-- huge brawl broke out, it was great

Faulk was a one-man wrecking crew against us a year prior

Faulk was the only guy I ever saw turn the corner against that 91 defense and 'the Bermuda Triangle'. And there was a run or two where IIRC Charles Pharms was able to juuust trip him up or he was going for about 80 yards.

I knew then he wasn't just a guy running around WAC defenses

He actually got hurt the week before the Miami game. SDState was playing Fresno State at the same time as our Cuse game. I was at a bar watching both. They had an unreal fight, the brawl literally went from one goal line to another

That was ol' time football!!!

Was this the game that our guys were draped all over Dan McGwire over and over and still had trouble bringing him down?
