Why can opposing defensive coordinators make adjustments to stop our offense with 2-3 star players but we can’t make any adjustments to stop their offenses? The answer is coaching and we have a lot of dumb ones. Just meatheads across the whole staff.
More times than not, it's self inflicted. Penalties, turnovers, a dropped pass here or there.

Cuse coach, who is a nobody, complains about PI, 2 play later, they get a gift PI call that extends the drive and they score a TD

Unreal

Why does every run play or any play do we get always a short spot? Every week
Maybe we do it and I’m missing it, but I wish we’d ride the refs for holding on our D line. Could probably work a few key holding calls.

This. Were playing arguably the best passing offense in the country. Had 3 stops. D has to tighten up a bit, but they offense has to capitalize.

We all knew offense had to win us this game before it even kicked off
Porter Harris and Kiko are so bad they deflate the whole defense.

Agreed

I mean relatively speaking since our defense sucks

That second TD instead of holding them to 3. That horse**** 3rd down penalty. Meesh dropping that INT

Hasn’t been THAT bad

Exactly, they got Mossed on essentially a third down jump ball, missed an opportunity or two and got unlucky. Meanwhile the offense immediately went 3-and-out and then 4-and-out. But sure, let's burn Guidry at the stake.

There is no excuse for back to back empty offensive drives against this team. The defense sucks we know that but getting ball first we needed to put up more than 21. Holding them to 14 was better than we could have expected honestly.

We have a bunch of smartest guy in the room coaches that outfox themselves weekly. Unnecessarily using Lyle because "he earned it" -- against Wake Forest.

It seems like our evaluations of players on O recruiting/portal have been much better than on D last couple years.

I may be wrong but I think the offense goes in a lull second quarter because Dawson is better as scripting plays than adjusting on the fly. The elite OCs can do both.
I think DCs around the country are good at adjusting. Ours isn’t but most are.
