Miami record against the ACC

Pretty bleak..

Slightly impressed by the 26-15 record vs Frank Beamer ball Va Tech considering its not easy to win in Blacksburg ever. Same goes for 29-12 record vs Pitt, we mostly destroy them but the ACC loves to schedule us late in the year when its frigid and Narduzzi schemes up some bs with a white QB and a stout D line. It feels like Carolina's Michael Carter and Javonte Williams are still running on us to this day

We MUST stay ahead of Fswho and the Gaytors in the overall

The last 6 match ups vs both has my jaws tight.

1-5 vs UNC
2-4 vs GT

Make it make sense.

Miami coaching candidates: Manny Diaz ...

* To keep it fair, one of those 4 GT Ls was Richt's in 2018, but the sole UNC win was also his that year.

Actually Richt was 2-0 against UNC. We beat the in 2018 on a Thursday night game. That was Nkosi Perry's first career start.
We need to do that to them again next time we face them. I was at that 2018 game. It was beautiful watching us make them look like Bethune Cookman (they kinda were in 2018).

I will always remember fondly the first ACC home-and-home series with Clemson. Both went to multiple OTs (I think one was double OT and one was triple OT). I believe they won the one in Miami, and we won the game in Clemson, but both were great games. I remember thinking it was going to be a great, tough, competitive conference rivalry….

Whoops. 🤣

Actually it's inverted. We lost the 2009 game and won the 2010 encounter. We entered the 2009 game badly depleted by injuries (our total scholarship count was in the low 70s, making injuries difficult to overcome). The Canes were ranked 8th at the time, and had we won would would have been 8-1 going into that game in mid November with North Carolina. It was a big loss that took us completely out of NC contention.

As for Clemson, unfortunately after 2010 our blue chip level fell off fairly drastically while Clemson ascended further. That gap wasn't closed until 2023.

Looking at the ACC standings each year since 2004, it's amazing how often since 2012 team came out of nowhere to have a superlative year to win the Coastal.

I think I was right that both times the away team win the game though - sorry if I wasn't clear.

I completely forgot that our schollys were so low! Insane. Those Coastal years were crazy. Good trivia questions in there, although I try to black out the Golden years.
