Miami offers stud WR Matt Landers from St. Petersburg, FL

I wrote about this kid in the commits/targets thread earlier this week. Landers, who already has offers from FSU & UF, is a 6'5" receiver who can stretch the field and runs very well at his size. Extremely impressive highlights.

This is a very good offer. All of the BIG 3 want him. He's going to blow up.


Issue is, people don't understand that a lot of these kids don't even get looked at or even evaluated by these sites. So they have no ranking whatsoever. Will be more of this in the spring and summer with camps coming up.

Runs crisp routes. Very shifty for being so tall. Good leaping ability and hands.

Unfortunately we usually don't get many kids from that area. That's Nole and Gaturd country. Would be an incredible pull if this kid ends up here.

reminds me of Randy Moss but that's just b/c of his body...he'd be even faster if he could lengthen his stride, looks like he chops his steps and doesn't take advantage of his height...surprising how fast he is despite short (for a 6'5" guy) stride

Loving the offers by this staff in the last 2 days. This kid looks legit. Don't know much about the competition he faces but for a guy thats 6'5 ish, he certainly looks quick, to go along the the straight line speed, and hands

Idk if thats the case here though. Ive heard this kid wanted to play at miami and is a big canes fan. Guess we'll see how it plays out tho

Miami is appealing to many of the kids in the 813 Hillsborough/727 Pinellas areas. We just have to win. These kids know the City of Miami is the big dog and want to be a part of the social and athletic scene. We have the intangibles that Nolies and Gaeters will never have. We just need to win.
