I’ve always said that FSU sold their souls for that 2014 Chip, and that’s why they are a mess now. Maybe we are doing the same thing right now…. And I’m fully supportive of it.

They didn’t sell their souls - they built something that was unsustainable from a culture perspective. That appears to be the primary driver for their downfall.

Secondarily was talent, perhaps unsustainable in an “enhanced recruiting” pre NIL era.

Thirdly, just like Miami was unwilling to increase spending in the 2000s as Alabama, Florida, and others ramped up, FSU had had an inability to do the same.

Miami is doing now what Texas A&M and Georgia did in the last ten years - invest heavily at all levels in their program.
